Ranma is a notorious slacker at school, preferring to save his interest and energy for martial arts training. Worse, Saotome has issues with authority figures. Mix those qualities together, and you get Hinako's worst nightmare: a devoted DELINQUENT!

Genma has claimed that Ranma's head is impervious to normal education, but after having to confine Ranma to detention yet again, the determined teacher has a breakthrough. Turns out, all Hinako needed was the right teaching style. Once she started giving Ranma "oral lessons", the delinquent became a star pupil. That's one way to engage your class! ;)
