Exclusive Art! Monlon: Making Sweet Music (Patreon)

Ranma has had many tough opponents, but none cut him as deeply as the fight with Monlon.

One of the 7 Lucky Gods and the group's only female member, Monlon is the goddess of art and beauty who carries a LUTE into battle! But before you laugh, dismissing this musician as some wimpy bard, know that Monlon has spilled more blood than anyone else depicted in the Ranmaverse. Seriously! O.O

The secret to Monlon's gory success is in the lute strings of her deadly instrument, which can be detached and hurled at her enemies! If one should become entrapped in this wire, they would do well not to struggle against its razor sharp grip as all it takes is one pluck of the string to rend flesh from bone!

Ranma was unable to beat Monlon alone, the hero finding himself for once in need of rescue by the hands of Shampoo. And while technically this battle was not a "loss", it bothered Saotome that he needed help to win.

Determined to do it alone, Monlon is challenged to a rematch. The lyre strings remain ever deadly, but Ranma believes that he's devised a counter: make this twisted bard hit the highest note possible! >:D

If you're struggling to remember Monlon from the anime series, it's because she wasn't in it, instead appearing in the feature-length Ranma film "Big Trouble in Nekonron, China" (Viz Title). Arguably the best of the movies, it's well worth a watch if you haven't seen it before or in awhile. And although the team has viewed the film many times start to finish, we'd be lying if we didn't mention that the movie was paused just as many times to- ahem- appreciate the goddess at work! ;)
