Correlation: Speaking of Star Wars, with the latest (and purported FINAL) movie in the Skywalker saga currently in theaters, the team decided to remaster a couple Star Wars themed Ranma pics this month to celebrate!

Statement: The first of those offerings is a strange one, patrons.

Created during the time the "Use the Force, Harry - Gandalf" meme was seemingly everywhere on the net, you'll observe the "laser swords" are not based on Star Wars at all, but rather Tenchi Muyo. Why? Because lightsabers don't exist, obviously, so Ranma and Kasumi are using the next best thing in the anime world. :P

The real reason: mockery.

Observation: We fans can take made up stories about space wizards too seriously, overreacting to every flaw, forgetting that these movies weren't made to be perfect, but rather made to be fun.

I'd imagine some meatbags will find this lack of faithfulness to Star Wars most disturbing, but remember, patrons, IT'S A TRAP and all in self-deprecating fun.  :)

Confession: We picked this pinup set to remaster in large part because it had a cool sword fight. And let's face it, most normies only watch Star Wars for the lightsaber battles anyway. >:D
