Hello!

Another Fantasy WIP is here and it's Chaos Happy Hour, baby! 🥳

Due to the Angry Company, many Grimdark type WIPs are not shown on this post. Complete set and high resolution turntables are accessed in the normal way. Emails are sent out as well. Please leave any feedback, reactions on this post. Thanks!

So this month I thought of a lot of ideas for my Ahriman proxies which basically explores his character arc throughout the Horus Heresy and current timeline.

I started off with his pre-Heresy version which is pretty standard for a Librarian and gradual transition to being the Sorcerer Supreme of 40K where he can pretty much cast any spell he wants (except the one that really matters 😅). But the point is Ahriman is an absolute powerhouse of a spellcaster that pumps out ridiculous amounts magical dakka. Excluding his Primarch, the only other character that is roughly comparable to him in power level is Eldrad Ulthran. To that effect, I wanted to show a variety of cool spells he can cast to dominate the battlefield. Blast your enemies apart with Eldritch fire or summon allies with dimension doors, he can do it all! Also community members have made some requests for helmet changes so I've included that version.

I also wanted to include an experimental version of Ahriman. You see, the former First Captain has been marinating in the warp for ten thousand years now which is the equivalent of taking daily strolls in Fallout 4's Glowing Sea without rad protection. And in the lore, it's heavily implied by various sources that he no longer looks...human. You start to see glimpses of this during the Siege of Terra but in the 41st millennium, even his peers have noticed a drastic change. One sorcerer even said Ahriman doesn't even have a head anymore, just a void that screams where his face used to be.

Ahriman once told Be'lakor the First Prince of Daemons that he was willing to pay any price for power. This was while also binding the Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided to his will and forcing him to answer one question of his choosing (yes, Ahriman is that powerful). Well, Ahriman might choose to retract this statement if he realized how warped (hehe) he's actually become. But ironically Ahriman thinks he looks perfectly normal. Then again, Chaos has a way of distorting the perceptions of those that dabble in the warp. Fun fact, did you know that when Death Guard look at a Nurgling, they see this?

So yes, despite Ahriman claiming to serve no master, he is truly Tzeentch's favored servant. Just as planned.

Got some Malus Darkblade updates as well. He'll get a bunch of weapon and shield options to mix and match (fire or no fire). I know he has a Cold One mount called Spite but I wouldn't realistically be able to fit that in this month. However I am working on Caraxes still...would WH fans like the option to have him ride a dragon? I think that would be pretty cool. 😄

Speaking of which More Hot D updates coming up next. 🔥 Also, Sci Fi polling is currently underway. Feel free to cast your vote!

That's a lotta Ahriman! Very much a "How it started" vs. "How it's going" situation

I can't figure out which version of Ahriman to print and paint so I'll end up doing all of them I suspect.
