It's time for our pin-up, everyone!

> Working with an Oda's character design means we are exploring interesting shapes!! Garp is so big!!! His torso is particularly massive. Just to be playful, I wanted to make regular looking humans around him to highlight the difference.

>Here I started to bring structure to the figures. As I mentioned, Garp's torso is unusually large so it was interesting to try making the anatomy look natural.

> Worked a cute, cocky grin for Garp! Besides that I put the marines in uniform.

> Lineart!

>Establishing the flats and the shadows for the marines. As they are going to be background characters, I wouldn't make a detailed shading for them as to set the visual hierarchy.Garp is the focal point!

>Simplified shading and rendering done for the marines.

> Setting up the primary shadows for Garp! I have been experimenting not setting secondary shadows at this stage. It's in the secondary shadows that I create most of the texture, and doing it in color makes the rendering feel more natural and intuitive.

And that concludes our monthly pin-up post. I'll be opening the voting for the next character on the 1st!
