Musmus, the Jinn of Tales! When the summoning of the Jinn by the hand of the vizier went wrong, they all broke out of their bounds - but Musmus was left behind. Still on his lamp Musmus was found by Azhar, and with a pact, granted him Jinn powers. He is the navigator character!

He's very snarky and a know it all, the other Jinn usually despise him because they think he's annoying. Let's go to the step by step! (:

> Laying down my gesture! Musmus is slender with a long hair, having a serpentine appearance. Wanted to make the pose very flowy to make the most out of those characteristics! After laying down my gesture drawing, I made an anatomy pass to give him structure. His legs are long, and his waist is tiny!

> After that I put down the clothes over the figure, and worked on his head. I noticed the canvas was pretty blank and it reminded me of his weapon, that is a scroll. It worked nicely with my gesture. Don't be afraid to go testing things while you're doing a piece, it'll definitely work to your favor. Even if you don't use the idea, the process of doing it and assessing if it looks cool or not is a precious learning experience.

> Before working on this sketch I remember working on another one a week before. It looks cool but I wanted to do it again!

>Ok, proceeding to the lineart! There was a bunch of loooong lines which took me a while. But in the end it worked out!

> Color sketch! I've been trying to make that an habit and it's been working on my favor tbh! Musmus has a strong orange palette, and Azhar kinda borrows from it when he transforms.

> Base hard shadows!

> The gesture from the body and scroll integrated nicely together, but I really think the magical aspect of the picture had no momentum to compensate all the flowiness. If he's doing such a dramatic motion, probably something has to be happening right? Not only a glowy scroll. I decided to make other elements popping out of it, and It was very fun. I made a lotus flower and a ringneck parrot!
