While I was working on this doodle for my friend Everett, of his character Takosashi! I took the opportunity and saved some steps of the process!

This one is cool because I worked with a pose I've never done... which would be a character holding a gatling gun!!! Even finding proper reference for it is kinda hard. I recorded my struggle here and I think it's kinda interesting tbh...

> Working over my base, training to position the arms. I think it's wrong so I had to redo it, but i really liked how it looked! That stretched beefy arm with delicate hands is nice but I had to scrap it.... We don't talk about the other hand. LOL

> This one has more more cohesion in how he'd handling the prop. The sketch is the moment to change all that! Also notice how changing arm position didn't mess with the body gesture at all. The arms have such a free and wide range of motion, it's actually funny how you change it and the base gesture is like not affected by it at all. Don't be afraid to scrap sketches!!

>Let's put some clothes on this boy! I didn't draw his iconic mustache because it's a very big form and I wanted to tackle it by itself.

> Here i just drew blobs of shapes and lined them. Using just shapes to set up things can be pretty smart play if you are getting lost in tiny details inside the form, or if twists around other shapes like it's the case here.

>ta-da! final sketch. Some days it's just one sketch, other days are five. respect your pacing!

> Lineart! This one is different from my more fully finished pictures, which would be thinner lineart and then I put weight on it.... I get guilty when I don't do it the usual way and always say it's a "doodle"...It didn't give me less work tho!
