For this post, we'll be scrying quite a way into the future... to the end of Week 1 of your training, and the the start of Week 2.

SpaceCorps offers both gay and straight content, and a large proportion of players play both. That makes pacing a bit tricky. For example, gay and straight players each have 7 first and second watch missions to pick from - but bisexual players have all 14.

I'd prefer that bi players have the chance to play all their preferred content, rather than being forced to forego missions or run multiple savegames. I also need to make sure that straight and gay players can earn the same number of stats as bisexual players... Without a little meddling by me, they'd be missing out on at least 1/3 of the available points and find it hard to qualify for the more difficult Branches!

Now, obviously I have a cunning plan to get past this ๐Ÿค“ It's not the most sophisticated one, but it has the benefit of simplicity:

For bisexual players, Week 2 will continue in the same vein as Week 1 [choose your reveille missions, first and second watch missions, dream sequences, etc.] That'll give you the chance to play all existing content - like showering with Fatima if you spent week 1 showering with Sam. There won't be that much extra storyline stuff, tho - I don't want straight and gay players to fall behind on the through plot.

For straight and gay players, Week 2 will pass by in a whirl! You'll see something like the screen below, and your choice will dictate what points you gain [e.g. SciCorps training focus will award Data, IQ & SciCorps XP points; FliteCorps will award Data, Combat & FlireCorps XP points]. You'll then jump straight to Week 3 ๐ŸŒช

This will have the slightly odd effect that Week 2 will all be made in a single monthly update [whereas Day 1 took 4 years ๐Ÿ˜…].

All in all, an elegant solution, I think. As a gay player, may I say thanks for putting in that level of effort, it's really appreciated.

I have been playing at least some of the straight paths in my most recent play-through, but yeah - there's only so much of that I can take.
