Week 2 Lecture: The Khumon (Patreon)

“Good afternoon, Students! Since the course has only just begun, I thought I'd start you off on an easy one. The Khumon are the most anthropomorphic of Rowwwl's Seven Felinoid Species - and look absolutely nothing like the antagonists in any long-running sci-fi series. 

Stop sniggering, Captain Swiftnissity!... If I hear the word 'Worf' again you can expect a demerit! Yes?... Good. With those slanderous accusations out of the way, I shall continue...

Biology:

Khumons are also the most advanced of the Seven Species, inhabiting the temperate zone of the eastern continent Ree. They are descended from a proto-species of tree-dwelling felinoids, and are distant cousins of the non-sentient miu – now popular pets and delicacies across the Union!

As you'll see in the slide, the Khumon are built for combat, with lithe but heavily muscled bodies and a ridged skull to protect from direct blows. It should be noted, however, that the apparently bulging eight-pack of the female is actually a residual series of mammary glands... yes, Captain Alex... the colloquial term is tits, but please save your comments for the end of the lecture... Ahem. 

In the distant past, Khumon females typically produced litters of up to a dozen - but as they evolved, litter sizes decreased to two or less. In response, the additional nipples faded and the redundant mammaries hardened into a tough carapace that protect the young during pregnancy. One set of breasts, however, expanded into the fine milk-producers you can see on this young lady, and many Khumon females are known to sell their excess milk on the open market. 

It is actually quite delicious on cornflakes!

I shall be turning to details of the male Khumon's genitalia later in the lecture, but it is worth mentioning that male Khumons can produce up to a litre of semen per day (depending on their social status) - allowing for more frequent sexual activity than the average Union species.

Society:

The Khumon are a warrior race, with a technology analogous to that of Bronze-Age Earth. They live in a series of scattered city-states (known as Prides), which are locked in a permanent state of conflict based on ancient vendettas and territorial claims. These settlements typically number fewer than a few hundred individuals - ruled by a King chosen by supremacy in combat with the other males. All males have the absolute right to challenge any King at any time and ascend to the throne.

Although the life-expectancy of Kings is accordingly shot, the benefits of Kingship are significant. He has the sole right to impregnate females in his settlement, while all other males are either exiled to live as hunter-gatherers in the wilderness, or to 'accept the Cage'.

You can see an example of a 'Caged' male in the slide. A steel and leather contraption is fitted to the penis to prevent erection and safeguard the King's harem from competition. The Caged are also required to satisfy the King's lusts - yielding to frequent demands for oral and anal intercourse as proof of their submission... Captain Sameer! Could you please make some attempt to disguise that erection!... and assisting him in readying females for penetration.

In contrast, Wilderness males (known as Nomads) tend to live alone. Their high sex-drives lead them to prey upon any female who has been separated from her Pride, as well as females of other species. They also indulge in widespread homosexual relations with one another – whether invited or forced – making the forests of Ree a perilous place for weaker males, females and hardy explorers alike.

Citizenship: 

The Khumon are a subject race of the Union, though many are barely aware of its existence. Nevertheless (in accordance with the President's recent Diversity & Inclusion Diktat) a number of Khumon have been conscripted into SpaceCorps. 

Naturally, as members of a 'lesser race', most of our new Khumon recruits have been placed in ServiCorps and Comfort Section... honourable roles which keep our floors clean and our loins satisfied! Eager to serve the Union even further, many of these fine warriors subsequently volunteer for the elite Kamikaze Division of the Forward Infantry!
