That’s how it goes in real life. You’re having an ordinary fun time and then gut punch. They considered replacing the actress with Bernadette’s actress because she could pull off a similar voice, but they ultimately did the classy thing and gave her a proper send off.

When Penny said she expected Sheldon to say "Let it go" I had a big laugh while I still was crying from what Sheldon actually said. It's not so easy to get me to feel either of these emotions, much less both at the same time, and I surely didn't expect TBBT to do it. Sheldon's words are also really meaningful because not only Howard has a lot of friends, they're actually all right there at the moment, which is something I immediately noticed when Howard drops the news. I couldn't help but think "damn, I hope next time I get some really bad news I'm in such good company".
