Toph Heavy Part 3 - Chapter 3 - Page 3 Back to WIP :( (Patreon)

edit: this page is gonna take another week. I was working and reworking the rendering for hours. It's 1:20AM as I write this and I started putting the "finishing touches" at 2PM today.  I eventually realized I was polishing a turd. I was trying to hide bad work. Remember, no matter how good the rendering, if the drawing is bad, the art is bad. Fundamentally, the drawing was bad. Specifically the arm going under the leg. It felt very flat. There was also some weirdness around the hips. So I went scouring for a reference. Found one. Now I'm redrawing the things that don't work.  You can see the basic redline I did of my own work. It's not perfect. It is much better than what was there. If I fix it. I'll feel better about posting it. This entire thing could take a couple of days, and I need to get some commission work done this weekend. So... yeah... week delay.

I think I'm going to work on this alongside the next page (which probably needs the same kind of treatment in the bottom panel.) and release both at the same time.  

I am grateful for this patreon. Thanks to your support I feel like I have license to try and get things right rather than meet a deadline. So thank you once again.

I am so sorry, this was meant to come out yesterday, but I fell behind thanks to some other things happening in my life right now.

I also made a huge mistake. Last week's page was meant to replace this week's page, and I forgot to discard this week's page. I almost did, but I get the feeling that people want more Toph and Azula even if it isn't up to my standards.

To make it work, I had to rewrite the page because it was the same dialogue as the previous page and that would've been weird. I also decided to lean into the awkward pose and give Toph a completion trophy.  

This one will probably have a couple of edits over the next week. Even now, I look at it and see where I could tighten things up. BUT I want to keep a weekly schedule as best I can, so here you guys go for now.
