I know this is very long. I've tried to make it digestable, but still, as daunting as it may be... please read it. It's very important.

The Bad News

I'm going to start with an admission. I am barely getting by. All of my income amounts to about half the minimum wage of my state. About 80% of that is from Patreon. I am very lucky in that my rent is very cheap and I only pay half of it, but it's like walking a tightrope. If Patreon disappears. I am destitute. This means I have to follow Patreon's rules no matter how much I may disagree with them. Unfortunately, that means that upon the completion of Chapter 3 (which may be pushing it) I'm going to have to divorce Patreon from Toph Heavy content and stop posting it publicly.

If I were you, I'd go through everything I've posted and save it all, because once chapter 3 is complete, it's all being deleted.

I have been diversifying into subscribestar, kofi, and itch.io as replacements, but they still aren't viable at the moment.  I'm still waiting on approval from subscribe star, it's been weeks... months. It is also so hard to get people to go to other sites, especially with places like Twitter suppressing links and traffic off of their sites.

I am going to continue working on Toph Heavy privately because I wouldn't be making it if I didn't enjoy making it. I just can't risk losing Patreon over it. If subscribe star, kofi, and itch.io income ever equals the income from Patreon, I'll start posting Toph Heavy again. Though I don't expect that will happen any time soon. I know that this change is sudden. I know it sucks. I hope that you will support me through it.

Why this is Happening

I'm not sure how many on Patreon would be aware, but Gumroad recently banned the sale of all NSFW content on its platform. This is part of a growing hostility that these platforms have towards NSFW content and it is usually at the behest of payment processors.

Even Patreon, despite invading its creator's privacy, has started to crack down on some aspects of NSFW material. A new addition to the TOS says that NSFW stuff must also depict clear consent even in fictional work and that even "consensual non-consensual" work isn't ok. Which is... utterly insane.

So even if there is consent between two parties, if it APPEARS to be non-consensual, even if it's animated...that's not ok. It's not about reality. It's about perception and that's what scares me.

Despite several instances of Toph saying "I want this. I consent to this. If I didn't want this, I'd stop it." within the work itself, I am worried. I have seen people completely miss those clear expressions of consent.

As a creator, I prefer to make stuff and step back. Truthfully, if I could pay someone to run Patreon, I would. I just wanna make stuff. That's it. It's not my place to interfere with how other people interpret things. It's not my business to argue with people about what they like and don't like. If I make something that someone doesn't like, that's fine. If people don't get it. That's ok. It is not my job to police the perception of others.

Yet, if Deviant Art has taught me anything, you're always bound by bad faith arguments of the most moronic and the least moral.

My intent, the plot, and why I draw Toph that way.

To start: Toph Heavy is a parody of three things. The first is the actual director saying that Azula was Lin's father. The second is the content of Legend of Korra where Toph seemingly did not know or care about her children's fathers. The third is people's attitudes towards sex and sexualization.

Here's the plot.

The reason why Azula has a dick is because of a spirit. This spirit is also why Toph can't get pregnant until she fucks Azula. This spirit is the spirit of fertility. This spirit is upset with the Avatar because the Avatar has ignored them.   The Avatar must balance the spiritual and physical sides of the world, and people aren't in balance concerning their sexuality. Sex is where many cultures (especially the ones Avatar is based on) consider the spiritual and the physical meet.  Yet the people in this world see sex as dirty, wrong, and inherently pernicious. They reduce relationships to expressions of power rather than partnerships. It's unhealthy, unbalanced, and it is a wonder how they ever have children. This spirit has had enough. It is using Azula, Katara, Jin, and Toph to breed the ones who would destroy the Avatar as punishment for the Avatar's neglect. If you've seen the preview sketches you should have been able to deduce that Azula impregnates Toph in a flash of spiritual energy that repairs Toph's womb and gives her sight for a brief moment. The reason why this doesn't happen right away is that since this is a meeting of the spiritual and the physical, Azula can't do anything until they both feel something genuine for each other. There is consent between both Azula and Toph from the beginning but they are using each other as a means to an end. Azula wants to sire an heir, and Toph wants to get off. However, by the end, there's some admiration, respect, and even some love between the two, and when that clicks, Azula's spirit dick glows and does its thing. Afterward, Azula's spirit dick disappears, and an impregnated Toph brings baby Lin to term nine-months later. And that's the end of Part 3

Part 4 takes place five years later and involves and encounter between Toph and Katara and this spirit of fertility. In Part 4 Katara's gone missing near the "secret tunnel" and Toph finds her at the behest of Aang. She finds Katara crying at the entrance to the secret tunnel cave. Katara is upset that she can't back to Aang because she has a dick, a gift from the spirit that resides in those tunnels. Toph says she knows what to do to get rid of it, and fucks Katara. It ends the same way, with a flash of light that briefly brings back Toph's vision and indicates that Toph is pregnant once again. This doesn't take as long as compared to Azula because Toph and Katara are already friends. From there Toph goes to confront the spirit. Here's a very rough design of that spirit.

It seduces and fucks Toph while telling her its plan. As she reaches the most intense climax of her life, Toph defiantly says that she's going to make sure her children don't grow up to destroy the Avatar.

(side note: this design is loosely based off of the Centari figure of fertility from Babylon 5, because I can never forget Molari cheating at cards using his prehensile dick)

The spirit leaves Toph with a futa dick, and Toph gets rid of it with Jin. Jin in this story turns out to be the biological grandmother of Kuvira with Toph as the biological grandfather.

The story ends with Toph saying "that's why I was so harsh on you and that's why I started following the rules... enforcing them even" and "I'm so proud of you for not being what they wanted you to be." and they say that "without her they could've ended up like Kuvira."  They say that they love each other, and Lin says "next time, you don't need to include so much detail."

The end.

Why busty?

When Avatar and Korra were first airing I did a bunch of fanart that stayed as close to the model sheets as I was capable of. Here is the best example of that.

One day I drew Toph and I tried to indicate that she was an adult in this drawing by making her taller and curvier.  Deviant Art mods (which had it out for me for some reason) took down the work claiming I was sexualizing a minor.  I thought to myself that maybe it wasn't super obvious that I was drawing an adult so I went back to the drawing board. Over the years I kept adjusting her anatomy until the mods and I could agree that she was an adult. That never happened and that back and forth is why she has the figure she does in my art.

According to these nutcases since the character was a minor when she was first introduced, no matter how you drew them they would always be a minor. Never mind that within the series we see a version of this character as an adult, a mother, and a grandmother. She was first introduced as a child, she is always a child.

This is psychotic. By that definition, even as a grandmother, Toph is a minor. But I shouldn't be surprised because I've seen people on Twitter claim that a 21-year-old person is not an adult.

It is these kinds of people who seem to be in charge of things and the reality is that there's nothing we adults can do about it except adapt. So that's what we're going to do.

The Future

I am going to begin drawing short comics featuring the Vampire Teresa and the Bar Wench mechanic BB Kildare

A wholly original character design. She can't suck anything out of you without your express consent. Vampire rules. She's 10,000 years old but presents as a busty 28-year-old.

(This art is very old, please excuse its quality.) Kildare is a comely bar wench mechanic. She's 24. She loves paizuri. She wanders the wastes of her steam punk world looking for men and scrap for her inventions.

The comics with these characters will be very short. Maximum 8 pages at a time, and I'm going to start on them this coming monday. Their storys will be separate for quite some time, but they may cross paths one day.

And... that's it. That's certainly all the stamina I have for writing and probably all the stamina you have for reading. If you decide to leave, just know that I've appreciated your support to this point. If you stay, I'm sure you'll love the stuff with Teresa and Kildare.

I came here for Toph Heavy, but given your circumstances rather than leave, I think I will bump up my patreon tier instead. I already use Subscribestar for a few other artists, so please let us know once you get on there, I'll subscribe in a heartbeat. I hope things get better for you, you deserve far better than this.

Well, that really sucks. I'm sorry, man. Do you have an Itch, or Ko-fi account, or are you waiting on those like subscribestar? IDK about Ko-fi, but I read recently that whereas Patreon takes an 8% cut, Ko-fi has a flat $4.50 fee per month. Anyway, wherever you move to, I at least will follow.
