Maybe you can be our lucky charm by reacting to SVSSS in the same order as the other two, and we'll get more official content for it! 😅 Also alongside it getting abbreviated down to SVSSS it is sometimes also shortened to Scum Villain or Scumbag System (the latter is what Tencent label it on their YouTube). The opening scenes for the first episode go by so quick. The voice actor did an amazing job of being able to speed read all that. Also just one pronunciation thing, I believe the 'He' in Luo Bing He is more like 'huh' than 'hee' or 'heh'. I believe it's a different 'He' from He Xuan. Going into this story completely blind definitely makes this first episode make you go "Wait...what?" in all the best ways. Welcome to isekai! 🥳🎉😂 Isekai'd via steamed bun... When I first watched this I did have to pause whilst I laughed over the OOC warning. It's such a great meta addition to the story. The meta and parody humour in this first episode are definitely my kind of injection of comedy. Story really pulls you in and then the episode just ends like that 🤣 Great way to make you want the next episode. The Pagemaster throwback, little Macaulay Culkin and his round glasses 🥺 Also agreed on the CGI. I feel like SVSSS gets more stick for being wholly CGI because MDZS and TGCF just have CGI melded in with the art style for their donghua. Definitely feels very much like a generation issue too. I can finally talk about the pickle jar 🤣 Every time they mentioned about Ban Yue in that dang pickle jar in TGCF I couldn't help but think of those scenes in Episode 1 showing Shen Qingqiu's fate...😂 For the cliff, Mo Xiang Tong Xiu really highlighted this trope of how the main character(s) level up after suffering such a fate, and then provided us with this trope in both MDZS (Wen Chao deeply regretted having Wei Wuxian thrown into the Burial Mounds) and TGCF (Ke Mo's fellow soldiers were all felled by Hua Cheng after he jumped into the Sinners' Pit and, thanks to the darkness, no longer had to hide his true form) 😂 Some of the shade Mo Xiang Tong Xiu throws on tropes for protagonists (such as happening upon people and objects to increase their ability) I have seen in other Chinese stories I've watched and read, but I've seen more examples of this in shounen anime 🤣 Not at all side-eyeing you Naruto and Bleach 👀😂 Oh god, you're really giving me such throwbacks this reaction Romania [Freddie Got Fingered satire is quite like the humour in this episode]. I'm so glad you called out about the number of female characters in this first episode! In one episode they've been more prevalent than MDZS and TGCF 😂 Such a great reaction and discussion! Welcome to SVSSS , another crazy ride presented by MXTX! Don't worry abt bad pronouncations, they're fine enough for a first-time non-chinese-speaking viewer. IIRC there's a pronouncation guide at the end of each SV book, so if you're interested you may check it up together with readthroughs later. After 2 books entirely based on ancient China, suddenly we have this modern day person thrown into a fantasy world and he has to find his way to any other ending than a pickle jar......The CGI is not that bad, but still everyone has burrito legs and all the minions appearing in the first scene are copy-paste. Hell, even all the girls surrounding the throne look quite alike, if you cover their clothing and only revealing the face, it's hard to tell one another. I know there's been very bad 3D animations but this is not good enough(I have some really nice 3D CN donghua recommendations up my sleeves) The show's shouting parody and meta in my face. The 6666 chapters is a clear mock for long-ass CN web novels and also the cliche tropes like cliff-throwing, harem gathering, exmachina weapons etc etc. Million-word level is considered short-to-middle length here and CN writers tend to spend years writing series of this kind of looonnnggg books. By now I think the record is 44 million words for one book and that one is even still ongoing! You can 'summon' your weapon by clicking on the panel, unlock more skills through upgrades, have a NPC-like character giving out background stories first time 'logging in', and know on the first sight it's the protagnist/important character because he's walking around with a eye-blinding shiny golden name tag ROFL, some typical video game setting. Shout out to SQQ's VA, dude's able to have his voice switching back and forth between 2 entirely different kind of personalities(goofy isakied modern day dude and cold villian master) for one person, kudo to his hard work.

I’m SO ready for the ride!! Ahhh, that is a great point about the pronunciation guide – I may actually utilize that this go around! Ahhh, and I’m sure the animation is (hopefully) better in other danmei, but this one is fine, honestly. It could always be better, but for as bad as some people were trying to hint at, it’s fine. Maybe you all were trying to lower my expectations! Hahaha!! 44 MILLION WORDS AND STILL GOING?! Dear God….that’s INSANITY. That’s so long; I love that it’s throwing these tropes in there for the story, though! I love the “video game” visual novel aspect of this story already; there’s so much potential for the mechanics so that has me excited!! And YES! Knowing who his VA plays now in HOB, it’s actually really impressive how versatile Shen’s VA is! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I am SO excited to dive into this story!

Okay, I remember the first time someone recommended SVSSS, they called it “Scumbag System,” so I remember mentioning it during a MDZS reaction and someone in the comments affectionately chuckle-wrote, “Oh you mean Scum Villain” and I was SO. CONFUSED. But just nodded with a 😀emoji like I totally got what they were saying…now it makes sense! XD Ahhh, thank you for the pronunciation with Luo’s “he” – and YES! Isekai’d via steam bun! Insanity!! At least he didn’t wake up a vending machine… The comedy in this series is AMAZING right off the bat – the Ling Wen-like “System” restricting and keeping Shen on the safe and narrow is really well done and the comedy is right up my ally as well. I can already tell you that holding back from watching more episodes is going to be HARD. I’m glad you know of the Pagemaster, but yeah, the poor older sibling gets all the experimental elements with MXTX…even down to experimenting with the CGI art style. T-T OOOOHHH yeah, and the pickle jar with Banyu – at least she can escape it, while poor “Bad Ending” Shen is locked away in it with only his unkempt head sticking out. Man, you’re right, MXTX is really into that Bane /Batman “pit story” with falling to rock bottom and crawling your way out stronger than before, aren't they? I’m glad you recognized FGF as well – that movie…seems like its humor is on par with this but YES! All the Shonen tropppppeeeesssssss! And yeah, Luo is surrounded by ladies like Wei Wuxian…surely into all of them….right? Eh? I guess we’ll seeeeeee. But thank you so much for the kind words and comment!
