Our final Attack on Titan OVA, and this one takes a trippy turn into "What If" Alternate Universe, as Mikasa tries to escape reality to one where her parents DON'T die as they did during the events of Episode 6 of Season One. Unfortunately, the "cruel world" she lives in isn't going to let her just escape the harsh realities surrounding her...or avoid certain fates.

These OVA's were great, but I'm so excited to do the Season 3 Part 2 Recap and prep for Season 4!

Mikasa determined to become the Beastmaster confirmed. I'm going to be vague but in the manga it wasn't an embroidery that was passed down, that was a change by WIT studio.

This OVA is such a beautiful look into Mikasa’s psyche. It’s also an OVA to definitely keep in the back of your head moving forward. There’s some really interesting things that are being explored in this one that I’m still kinda awed by. Also not to sure how to approach this but yes just like the comment above says WIT changed a detail. It wasn’t embroidery. It’s really not a spoiler as its literally in the manga for the episode 1x6 area of the anime. If your curious we can tell you but I’ll leave that to you.

I do like the tie-in's of the Ackerman's to "beasts" in this series so far...no foreshadowing at all, eh? (I'm just joking...we'll see, right?) -- and The Weird Pianist noted that alteration from the manga that I think you're referring to with Mikasa. I've just jotted it down and I'm going to mention it in a future reaction, but interesting! :)

I did REALLY like that we got to see inside Mikasa's head, and that's good to note to keep this OVA in mind...hmm...thank you for not spoiling me, too! Another Patron commented on the change, but that was it. I've made a note of it to bring up in a future reaction, but thank you for offering to not spoil me, too! I appreciate it!! :)

2022-02-02 13:40:36 I love this OVA so much, it's sad but I love that we get to see them as kids more. We get them in flashbacks but to get them as kids just enjoying life but still maintaining the plot in different ways is very cool to see. The Eren dolls she made is so pure😭⭐❤I'm realizing the Ackerman OVAS are my fav lol & of course King Jean's too because it was pure chaos especially throwing Jean in over Eren for the OP😂😂😂😂& the titans at the end lol I love the backstories for all of them tho it's very cool. Idk how this recap is going to be but there's so much to talk about😭even my brain is mush & I've watched the show like 5 to 6 times lol I wish you luck with a warm hot chocolate on the side🙌🏽❄💙Have a great day/Night!

The fact that Mikasa's mother was likely pregnant when she died is CRUSHING. :( Still not over that. :( And yeah, seeing young Eren is such a trip, now!

Yeah, seeing them as children is so nostalgic and welcomed since the show is entering much "darker" times...And THE EREN DOLLS! I love it and it makes so much sense that Mikasa can sew good! :3 The Ackerman OVA's are great and of course King Jean's are too! :) Jean's own OP just SENDS me. Ohhhhh...the recap....*sweats profusely* I'm honestly embarrassed at how long it is, mainly because there has STILL been things to talk about after it...but yeah...thank you for the warm wishes! I'll need them going into Season 4!

The embroideries in the manga was actually a tattoo on Mikasa's wrist. Tattoos in Japan culture are kinda tied to the Yakuza and all of the bad stuff so the anime changed it.
