Loved the reaction and discussion! Such an excellent start to season 2. 🥰 There are two small things I wanted to note in this: absolute agreement with what you raised regarding Natsume and the show – the fact that it is sweet and tender even among everything else that happens and alongside its complexity. And Natsume being a subversion of certain tropes we’d often (even normally) see in a show with a male protagonist. Love it! I also wanted to note a nice detail in the dub (which is excellent, btw) – Natsume, in the conversation about the gap between humans and yokai, says: ‘I hear your voice as well as theirs. ... Can’t I be a mediator?’ I just found it so interesting that that is the word they chose. Looking forward to next week! 💙

I'm so excited with Season 2 so far! I absolutely love Natsume as the MC because he's a man and sets a new standard compared to what we normally see with male MC's - at least for the anime and media I've seen. It's refreshing and really cute! Oooh, that's an interesting note with the dub - I may have to give it a watch! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I'm excited!
