Heads Up About Yona of the Dawn & Streamable! (Patreon)

Hey all,

I told everyone in the Discord, but I received an email that a studio is taking down my Yona of the Dawn reactions from Streamable.

I will work over the next week or so to get them transferred to Vidyard and updated on YouTube.

This does raise my concerns now with using Streamable, so I will start a mass exodus of my videos (there are hundreds so it will take a long time) from there to Vidyard for the future.

It does also raise concerns that I may need to get aboard, in these current times as other reactors have done, with those doing timer-based reactions so that copyright is no longer a factor at all. I know some don't like that, but I want to continue to bring you content and discussion on the channel.

As such, you may start to see with new seasons and new shows after this a transition. I know several of you already sync me up with the anime anyway, so it won't be much of a change (and maybe even better) for you all. Trust me, it will be an adjustment for me as well, but it seems to be writing on the eventual wall for 2025.

I hope to continue to get your support and kindness - I will have a July update soon on Patreon (hopefully Friday - but I recorded it BEFORE all this went down), so I look forward to seeing you all then!

Pixeldrain and MEGA may be two other options that provide better resistance against take downs. Not sure how it all works financially though, obviously that plays a huge part. Doesn't make much sense to be spending hundreds and hundreds a month on hosting services either, especially if the alternative is free - just syncing up time-based reactions I'm good with that, put some of the responsibility on us to be legitimately owning/streaming the shows, and probably feels less shady like you're giving away content that's not yours. Sad to see this change happening around the board though, those big companies just want to control everything and be the only ones who say how anyone is able to get the content they want us to watch. It seems almost like there's more content/reactions than I have time to watch haha, I have so much catching up to do, and Yona was on my list! I guess I have to hoard them away for a later date myself, at least the series I really want to see, before they all get struck down with copyright claims! Thanks for keeping them out there.

I agree that Pixeldrain and MEGA are good alternatives that I have seen other reactors use. Even though I am too lazy to sync up😂, I support whatever decision you make. If you ultimately decide to do timer-based reactions, can you show a bit of footage like the bottom subs? Cuz we might be using different sites and the timer might not be accurate. 🤔 It's to help us sync up easier. Thank you for your hard work!

I definitely am going to try PixelDrain -- and I will definitely try the subs and timer for it! I've thought about it and have an idea for August's video so it won't be any time soon with any major changes, but thank you for the kindness, support, and helping with the suggestions! I appreciate it! :3

Thank you for the comment and kind words and for the support and suggestion! I definitely am going to try with Pixeldrain and I think that will work! And I have some ideas for synching and getting things set up -- I'll talk about them in the August video. I agree, though; it's crazy that they can't license out for reactors -- but I hope that you can get to the Yona reactions! I have Episodes 1-12 up and hopefully by next week I'll have the other episodes back up as well! :) Thank you for the support as always! I hope you enjoy the reactions!
