With Sha Hualing in the novel losing her clothing as a result of testing Shen Qingqiu's spiritual ability, honestly I saw it as another silent commentary on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's behalf of how, quite often, male writers write their female characters in a similar way and cause them to end up in such situations that doesn't happen to the male characters within their stories [I don't think I've ever read a story by a male author that has this kind of gratuity with their female characters but also an equal amount of gratuity shown towards their male characters]. But it's also a way, in my opinion, to show that even though Shen Yuan is slowly making changes to the original novel, there haven't been enough changes made at this point to prevent certain scenarios that may occasionally occur in such stallion novels from still happening. Also can I just say that Sha Hualing's body being censored out whilst naked immediately makes me think of the PC game The Sims 😆 Shen Qingqiu being such a foodie just gives him even more relatability for me 😂 I almost got a stitch laughing at your reaction to that Luo Binghe line "I'll give it to you everyday with variations" 🤣 First read of that line you do typically just accept it at face value in regards to cooking, but because Shen Qingqiu places so much emphasis on being shocked by hearing that line you quickly realise the double entendre it could also mean...also (having read Mo Dao Zu Shi first) that damn word "everyday" immediately gives me *other* connotations 🤣 Glad I'm not the only one to make such a connection 😆 And just when you though his obliviousness had reached it's highest peak he goes and hits us with his confusion over why he likes patting Luo Binghe on the head 🤦‍♀ I honestly love the shade Shen Qingqiu throws at the author for their naming practices and the vast quantity of mythical and rare items. But my favourite part about this whole scene is most definitely learning that the cure to Without A Cure is the horizontal mambo with Luo Binghe 🤣 It is great that Shen Qingqiu did think about it, though his obliviousness made him completely strike out the idea as a possibility for himself, especially considering Luo Binghe is still a teenager at this point so no treading into grey areas regarding consent and their ages. I adore Liu Qingge's character in the novel, and was so happy that he was just as great in written form as he was in the donghua. The conversation between him and Shen Qingqiu is a great one because 1) in the original story at this point Liu Qingge was dead, and 2) he is the only character to confront and question Shen Qingqiu about the drastic change in his character. Getting Luo Binghe's perspective definitely gives you a deeper understanding about the changes to the original story, and how his opinion/feelings about his Shizun have changed. I especially love that he was able to hear Ming Fan's mutterings as this shows Luo Binghe that Shen Qingqiu's actions and words to Luo Binghe are not two-faced in any way. For him to speak up on Luo Binghe's behalf, not expecting Luo Binghe to ever learn of what was said, really shows how much Shen Qingqiu truly thinks of Luo Binghe's ability. Yess, I could definitely see that with MXTX as the reason for including that Sha Hualing moment! Also, that Sims commentary makes me chuckle – now I’m going to imagine them all together in the same house, haha! I love SQQ is a foodie as well! And yesss, the MDZS double entendre is THERE! Our oblivious Peacock, I tell you! But yes, our shady peacock just snarked “Master Airplane!” So the question is if the poison plotline is going to be “explored” for a cure…later? *coughcough* Liu Qingge is so much fun! He’s just great! And he doesn’t have to try! And yes, the DEAD MAN is the only one that calls out the change in Shen QingQiu! I can’t wait to see what shenanigans he will cause in this series! And yessss, I am SO excited about having both Shen QingQiu and Luo Binghe’s perspectives in this! And him hearing Ming Fan – yesssss, knowing that SQQ isn’t being manipulative (to that extent) and is sincere! I love it! Thank you for the comment and kind words!!
