The setting is a recording studio but the sound quality of that cover is anything but studio quality. What were they going for ? She can sing however the audio on that was not great, it just wasn't. So I don't understand presenting her in a studio setting. For that audio quality she should be filmed sitting outside, or on the edge of a bed, or even a cafe. You are correct there was little to no emotion conveyed in this cover, the song is emotional but I feel that she has never experienced the feelings she is signing about.
