I remember when this album came out and the multi-fandom love they received for it; as a MeU I was so proud. I bought the album and played it in my car all summer last year--I had forgotten how good the whole album flowed. My friend bought me Red Tape for Christmas so now I've got that playing. (Although, haven't been driving much these days.) Also, I think you reviewed "Shadow" in one of your On The Spots, but if I recall correctly, you weren't feeling it that much the first time lol.

Best Kpop album in the second generation of Kpop and this decade tbh. Every album they made was experimental and quirky during their time and you can see how much their little sisters Red Velvet take inspiration from them with harmonized vocals and experimental music above all.

f(x) was such a diverse group in terms of sound. I think Pink Tape was really a bunch of SM music engineers throwing random stuff at f(x) just to see what worked and didn't. This album, because of the its unique boundary pushing sounds changed the perception of what female k-pop groups could do. I know that f(x) changed up a bit the explanation for the name but originally they said it was because they could produce a ton of different outcomes with different inputs but I think that came off as too much of a brag for the South Korean audience but I always think about that when thinking about them. They could pull off so many concepts and really set the stage for Red Velvet and the next wave of female groups. Also, RIP Sulli.

Billboard's best Kpop album of the 2010's and rightly so. Pink Tape got critics to take kpop albums seriously. Your fave Goodbye summer was actually written by Amber. She has an english version ft. Eric Nam in her album.
