Thanks for reacting to this. This was back in 2012 I believe. I know that groups these days are breaking incredible barriers and doing amazing things every year, but this really goes to show how huge Girls' Generation was during their prime.

Yup, like everyone's been saying this was 2012. What especially makes this monumental is that it was a few months before Psy hit with "Gangnam Style". This is the English version of "The Boys" so it was entirely in English. Other early appearances of kpop on American tv: Wonder Girls performed the English version of "Nobody" on The Wendy Williams Show & So You Think You Can Dance back in 2009 (and had their own Nickelodeon movie).

I'm always happy to see Girls' Generation reactions lol. I remember when this was on tv back in 2012. I remember seeing and hearing about GG all over U.S. television back then and how surprised I was to see a Kpop artist (especially one I already liked) on my television. Memories :)

This is awesome and painful at the same time. David Letterman clearly has no idea who they are, and they are performing on a 12 foot wide space. BTS is doing a stadium tour this summer in the US. We've come a long way.
