Game Caterers x Starship Episode 3-3 Reaction

you're correct, korean words have multiple meanings (and honestly, the subtitles in general for game caterers across all their shows are kinda crappy). the spicy stew one was "bu deh ji gae" which the literal meaning is "army stew" (bc back in post korean war times it was a dish that koreans invented with the unused/un consumed rations american army bases would give to the locals). In all honesty, the second he saluted most koreans probably would've said bu deh ji gae. Similarly when you asked how are you getting this to bone broth soup (gom tang), another meaning to just the syllable gom is bear which is why he was acting like a bear beating his chest, when they got octopus tripe shrimp the korean word is nak gop seh. The single syllable seh also means bird. The last one they didn't get (jan chi guk su which translated is warm noodle soup) but jan chi ALSO means to celebrate or dance which is why he was dancing. Choo Wuh Tang (loach soup) choo wuh means both loach as well as cold. Korean syllables and words have MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE meanings Honestly, these charade rounds are super hard for international fans to understand bc a LOT of times they're acting out other meanings of part of the words so unless you KNOW korean it's really hard to get but make perfect sense to koreans
