The secretary and the advisor are not the same actor. They’re two different actors who happen to look alike lol In fact, it became such a joke among the fans, that the next show that those two actors worked in, they slipped in a 4th wall break joke that they looked so similar. Btw, that show was called Mister Sunshine, and was written and directed by the same team of Goblin. It’s on Netflix, and another excellent show, if you guys want to check it out in the future

The actor that plays the king's advisor always playing villain/antagonist roles and its always fantastic 👌. And it wasn't Sunny's birthday but the new year all Koreans become a year older...that's why Euntak celebrated becoming an adult (she turned 20). Though this law was abolished this year.

Sunny doesn’t speak a different dialect. She was pretending to use it to intimidate the aunt, which is why the friend on the phone said “your dialect sucks” as in “your impression of Busan dialect sucks.” However, you are right about the word “Orabeoni” being peculiar, because it’s an archaic form of the word “Oppa” which means older brother (doesn’t necessarily have to be for blood related siblings, but an older male)

Glass breaking is bad luck in Korean culture. So those bowls breaking when Kim Sun saw the king was actually bad luck from the start.

The king that they showed was not his father (grim reaper's), but his older brother, but age wise could have been his father. Was waiting for this when you guys finally realize not to blame Goblin for greed for the throne =). You can always trust in Kdrama MC's not being bad person in their past life, although story could have been better if he actually was punished for trying to get the throne and made goblin because of that.

I didn’t see this detail until rewatching it with you guys but now I get why grim reaper and the sister look different they’re older than their past lives and I think the grim reaper died when he was older cause goblin mentioned he was too late when he saw his body in the coffin. So imma assume it took him years to move from that spot.

I think he was dead for a decade after getting killed. So maybe 10 year difference there.

Goblin do have nice sountrack but SCARLET HEART RYEO, MOON LOVERS, had the best soundtracks ever specially the instrumental ones. It would be nice if you react to it a very popular historical drama. There is not even a single scene that will make you bored. People still asking for a season 2 and it's have a huge fandom.

Speaking of blood lines. In China and Korea, the character Wang "王", means King. Everyone with the last name Wang "王" is related to the King. The first stroke of Wang represents heaven, the last stroke represents Earth and the downward stroke is man. It was believed that the King is a man between heaven and Earth, he's someone who's supposed to communicate between heaven and Earth. What he says and wants is basically what heaven wants. It was believed that a King is someone who was appointed by heaven. So people with the last name Wang "王," are close to heaven and have a good bloodline. Also when Kim Shin disobeyed the King, he was in essence disobeying Heaven and going against heaven's will (if that makes sense). That just adds another layer onto what exactly he did wrong that was punishable. By disobeying the King, he thought he was above the King and above heaven. Which is why he was punished so severely (among other things), not just by the King but also by God.
