At The Time Of This Recording since "It's okay not to be okay" is sporadically being recorded since it is a Patreon only....we have started it and will have a poll Between Flower Of Evil and "It's okay not be okay" to replace Goblin when this series is over.

No worries...Flower Of Evil will be posted regardless at some point. I already understand it will likely lose the poll but we will try a more Poll based community as we also added the Sannin Elite Viewer Class Poll which was designed to economically add more weight to the Patreon support and tolerate fewer views on youtube as a result...

I hope that makes sense otherwise I can rephrase it.

Director got it right. The boy lived on and Deokhwa and his grandpa are descendants of the little boy. He's moving because it's suspicious for him to be around and not age. This helps the cover for his appearance. Rn he's deokhwas uncle because of the Deokhwas age, but when he gets older and Goblin doesnt people would be sus. So he would be coming back as Deokhwas son.

Lots of famillar faces in episode 1. You guys noticed Hye-Ran from glory & uncanny of course lol. The Goblin played the male lead in Train to Busan who had the daughter, also played a small role in Squid Game. The kings adviser person that ya'll hated was the science teacher from All of Us Are Dead. The king was the young corrupt cop from Uncanny. Typing this out I just realized ya'll only recognized the female LOOL. But to be realistic shes super memorable compared to the others imo.

The girl (goblin’s bride) must be 19 or 20 years-old. In Korea, you’re an adult when you turn 20. I’ve never seen this drama but I’ve seen the actress in two other amazing dramas with very different characters, haha, she’s very talented.

She's about to be 32 I believe. Goblin was aired in 2016 so she would have been about 25 then, but probably 23-24 when it was being filmed. Just my estimate.

Damn I watched this when I was a teenager and never really got bothered by her being 19/20 around this episode. The rewatch after a fat minute def brings in a different perspective 😂😂

The meaning of ”When I gave you to her“ is to show that she is a god who controls the birth of a baby. From ancient times, Koreans believed in the Birth Grandmother who was thought to oversee the birth of a child. So people prayed to their grandmother god (삼신할머니-samsinhalmeoni) when they had difficulty getting pregnant or wished for a good birth. Even now, sometimes people pray to God when pregnancy is difficult. The overall characters in this drama were inspired by stories from ancient times. Of course, not all characters are like that, but the main character, the goblin, is said to have been a guardian deity who protects people even though he is playful according to a story that has been handed down. Please refer to it when you watch the drama.I don't know if I'm talking properly because my English is not good😂😂

It's funny how much you guys just focused on the age thing. It's a fantasy story don't take it too seriously =). Hopefully soon ep2 drop. Been 7 years for myself when I watched as it was airing. Watched back then a lot more kdrama than in later years.

A running joke in Uncanny Counter references the actress' appearance in both shows. Whenever she mentions the sugar daddy counter, he suddenly appears, as if summoned... one episode, right after she blew out a lighter... Random cameos of characters from one show may be referenced or even appear in another for no reason, other than being a bit of fan service. I am never really sure. But, that one, I got. I think.

Well the actress is adult already so there is nothing legally wrong with situation. In my country you are adult when you hit 18 years old, I do understand USA have 21.

You're an adult at 18 in the US as well. Legal drinking age is 21 and legal car rental age is 25 and you're kicked off your parents insurance (if they have family insurance) at 26. I don't see an issue with the age as she is an adult at 18, as it is in korea. The only reason they say '21' is because they count ages differently there. There is a korean age and an international age. Korean age can be anywhere between a year and 2 years ahead of what is considered the international age. So 21 there could be considered a late 18 around the rest of the world.

In regards to the age, I don't see an issue with it. He didn't groom her, and she was an adult before anything romantic happened between them. But I'm quite progressive in that I don't see age gaps as an issue, in real life and more so in a fantasy setting when one of the s/o's is hundreds of years old. And maybe because I've seen the actress in a movie where she sleeps with an old man, that I don't even see the fact that Gong Yoo is almost 20 years older than her being a problem for casting either. I've also always been in to older men and women, so again, age gap was never an issue for me.

i'm personally over it but just responding for additional understanding how i think...Legality and morality don't always go hand and hand. The laws are often now always just. What's bothering me in addition to her age is her overall appearance and the fact that she's still in high school. Even in our country we have different customs. Where i grew up, it was considered weird to be 20 dating a high school girl at 18. See it's not just about the age, but also what phase they are in. You have to be 18+ AND out of high school before it becomes remotely appropriate to be with an older man around my social norms. I live in SW Florida and it can be remotely different in MIAMI and different among our races. I understand this show has a different culture and I'm fine with it LOGICALLY...but emotionally it gets wierd because ive spent 34 years of my life never needing to have think about it, interact with it, or tolerate it and BOOM Goblin Episode 1...lol Most of my anime reactions have an evolution of what i tolerate as well as i am exposed to it over and over and my mind has time to make sense of it.

This drama introduced me to Kdrama world. You don't understand the craze this made back then. It was the talk of the town, their OSTs are hitting chart, the location they filmed turned into tourism spots, even the one in Quebec, their merch were always sold out. I am happy rewatching this with you. Just list down your questions and it will be answered in future episodes. You can guess about the future but dont dwell too much on it or you'll get lost. Everything will be answered in time. Have fun! This is too great!

its pretty funny seeing Adorkable jump to conclusions about the reincarnation and how its being used in ep1 and it gets everyone confused and shook about what's going on lol. Like "It's good to be back? What does he mean by that?" lol my man he just came back to Korea its not resurrection. Like the keep getting stun locked by the reincarnation idea and ignoring obvious evidence that he is just leaving the country. Man is an immortal goblin that can't die, so he can't be reincarnated because you need to, ya know....die to be reincarnated lol
