One Piece sales is kind of a by product of how long it’s been running. There is no Bleach or Naruto for direct competition. Regardless I’m looking forward to the live action.

On the Edison point he succeeded after he failed lots of time on improving the lightbulbs that were created by the many people before him. People don't accept a live action can be good because it never happened before, and it's smart as a society most people don't accept things without a good track record as it keeps them safe. As long as we have a few that try then progress can be made. Simply your one of the few daring triers that we need but we also need the majority to be cautious.

The wiki says one piece hasn't outsold superman lol. Superman had multiple years start prior to one piece but I just thought it was funny.

It's happened before... The Rurouni Kenshin live action films were great in my opinion, excellent adaptations, there's 4 films total. Alita wasn't bad either.

Just mean to most people don't accept , for example people would mainly say their wasn't a great movie with superheroes until Spider-Man or Batman Begins. This being that the previous ones were okay or obscure. Anecdotally I agree but my friends who don't watch anime only know Alita as meh and what Netflix is pushing at the time, so they came to a negative opinion, thus I can see a One Piece fan not wanting it introduced to the mainstream in a bad way, which it is sadly doing for simply being live action despite its quality.
