I agree. Both Vincenzo and goblin are great shows but there are some things that viewers didn’t like or thought that it was offensive. Not only that but I feel like with most shows, drama and movies . Whenever something is hailed as amazing. Word to mouth spreads and with that comes embellishments of how great it is and because of that hype it sometimes leads to people feeling underwhelmed by it. It really depends on what kind of things that you look forward to in terms of a kdrama more action over romance or maybe something with high stakes or sometimes a slice of life drama. Sometimes dramas that are the most popular doesn’t always mean that they’re good or mean that you would like it

Vincenzo is like a classic for westerners who enjoy kdramas. Goblin is a classic in kdramas in general. Realistically the kdrama classics are several years old and not covered reaction wise by anyone. Ive never seen a channel cover actual kdrama classsics, so personally id say its not the same as comparing it to seeing classics like naruto, one piece, bleach. its more comparable to like demon slayer and attack on titan. super popular shows that are more recent, not the classics. hopefully this made sense lol

Everything popular is overrated because as new things come out the old starts to become stale but in the first moment it’s never overrated to those ppl. These shows can be a bit long and dragging and suit different types of ppl tho

I think both of those shows are fine. It all depends on what you are comparing a show to. I consider Code Geass, Anohana, and Monster; 3 of the best anime of all time. I wouldn’t exactly compare them to each other though.

It really doesn't matter to me. I've been watching watching kdramas over 10 years and both are good to me. Like to me overrated doesn't matter once you enjoy watching the thing 🤷🏾‍♀️

The Adele in the back had me cracking up. Even tho Goblin and Vincenzo are recentish I think they deserved their spot as classics. Every era had classics and I think respectively they each have earned it. I had no idea people were fighting in the comments tho. That's funny.

Honestly, if you like the show, you like the show. Opinions on whether a show is overrated or not is often not very valid--some people like to disagree for the sake of it--if a show gets popular, they like to be the one that goes against everyone else just to stand out. I watch a lot of kdramas. I have ones that I think are outstanding and others that I don't. I have seen shows that are really good and have great reviews but then all of a sudden everyone follows a trend to say they don't know why everyone likes it and its overrated. While I may check out reviews of a show, I ultimately make up my own mind. Myself, I enjoyed both Vincenzo and Goblin. As far as being offended on something, sometimes there is something valid but often issues that are way blown out of proportion. Sometimes too anti fans of an actor or actress or if a show has higher ratings than another that someone thinks should be doing better will result in a campaign to diminish or tank the one that they don't want to do well. It happens alot in kpop too. So its best to just make your own opinion and try the shows you want to see. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Personally, neither drama stands out to me as a MUST KNOW THIS DRAMA FOR CLOUT as a Kdrama fan, however I do put Goblin as higher than Vincenzo. Vincenzo appeals to international fans where Goblin has more Korean history and cultural appeal for me. If we're talking CLASSIC by definition, I would definitely choose something way older. early 2000s is what I'd consider classic. Classic and popular shouldn't be synonymous, I think that could just be my semantical debate on it though.

Its not overrated if you enjoyed it. Everyone has their own taste. My first kdrama was My girlfriend is a gumiho, never heard anyone talk or react about it but its probably still my favorite even until now.

I liked Vincenzo more but I still ended up dropping both of them at some point but enjoy what you enjoy! Who cares what people say if you guys watch something im not interested in I just skip it. When I was a new kdrama fan looking back I watched like the worst kdramas lmao but I enjoyed it cus I was new to the genre.

I didn't finish Vincenzo, but i need to. You know how it when you start for Youtube and you have to stop for channel safety. I was emotionally invested in Goblin. Don't get me wrong I liked Vincenzo too, but once I had to pull it...it twas a wrap.

Started Goblin like 5 years ago when I first started watching Kdramas, but didn't finish it for some reason. I'm looking forward to the reactions to it though, you guys make anything more entertaining.

Naruto, One Piece, Bleach is a high bar. There will be a lot discourse. The first one that had that kind of hype I remember is Moraesigae (Sandglass? Hourglass?). Back in 1995, you weren't cool, if you weren't watching. It is the only one that is an absolute LOCK as a classic, in my book. Full House (not related to the American show). The cast had Rain who was the biggest pop star in Asia at the time and Song Hye Gyo who was a hit machine at the time. If there's a Kdrama romcom formula, it started here. Squid Game. I felt bullied into watching that due to peer pressure by the hype train. This is not a recommendation list, my reference point for a classic.

Its one of the only Kdramas I watched that I didn't finish. Got super bored halfway through. really sad flower of evil didn't win, or vagabond or anything else tbh. I don't get how goblin won. I did like Vincenzo though

Vincenzo is an overrate, the ending sucks bigtime. Goblin is awesome.
