The last few minutes got me thinking. When Thorfinn was a boy he was a great fighter but wild and pretty much learned by doing. Now, yes he might be a bit rusty but over the years doing hard labor and getting his mind right by signing up for Better Help (🤣) he has no doubt become a more polished fighter. I'm looking forward to this fight.

Something important to note: Snake might respect Sverkel a great deal, and Sverkvel might be the most important person on the farm... but Ketil is the owner, the one who is employing Snake, *and* Snake is a mercenary who has no true loyalty to either Ketil nor Sverkel. So if he has reason enough to want to kill Gardar and anyone helping him, there's nothing actually stopping him from doing so.

I love the contrast from season 1 and 2. At first, there was this immense hatred, pure vengeance for his fathers death. It was always on sight with askeladd. To see him this season, slowly untie that knot of violence is beautifully done. The entire plot is methodical and deeply thought provoking. You can seriously write real college level essays about the different angles of this show. Now he’s torn away from pacifism and we’ve been building towards this. Really violent at first, now wants peace; I think he’ll drift somewhere in the middle where he can tap into demon time without losing himself again. The problem is, I respect Snakes ability and don’t see how he gets bodied with a sword lol. Thorfinn is an unorthodox but capable mc though. Nah I need the next episode asap

Actually for his fighting style he needs amazing reflexes to avoid strikes to get in range with his daggers. So him doing basic physical labor for that long would have made him more stiff and not that fast as when he was younger. But we both know he still has his full fighting skills and like you said will be better fighter now with not consumed by rage.

I don't think Snake understood what weapons Thorfinn used as he was going through the basic viking weapons Spear, Sword and Axe. So he is little confused on Thorfinn's stance and Snake knows Thorfinn was a fighter from that altercation they had with his guards. Finally Thorfinn duel, that Thorfinn fighting theme song when it hits that gets your blood pumping :D
