I don't know if you guys know, but There is a story arc that happens in the books between the events of the dwarven kingdom arc, and this arc that's starting now. That story arc is apparently being made into a movie that will be released later. The move covers the events that happen between this episode and the previous episode.

Why do they always do that instead of just putting it in the anime. There's no point in me seeing the movie later to figure out what I missed in-between those two episodes when the show is already done with the season.

the king is a good man and dad but a really weak king the nobles have more power than him and most of then are trash adorkable was right like if he offers his head right now he can stop the war for now but the trash nobles will still be there and eventually they will do some shit that will cause war, it's because of this too that the brother says that they can't become a vassal state, because of the nobles

Maybe because the movie will gain more potential new viewership and if it goes well it will possibly allow the studio to have more budget for the show if things go well enough with ticket sells..... Don't understand why you are that upset about it. The movie will automatically have more quality than the series and people be bitching about how movies aren't canon a lot of the time so which is it gotta be? You want a canon movie or for them to waste budget instead of gaining some more potential budget cause they waste resources on a movie that isn't worth watching unless you are dedicated to the series? Unless you are a big shonen like MHA that makes movies that aren't important to the series you can't waste resources on a filler movie and if all goes well the movie will be beneficial for the series as a whole but if it isn't canon that means it will probably have less people showing up for it.

The king is kind, but he is too stupid, too naive. And it seems like they're planning to make an example out of the kingdom. Basically the carrot went to the Empire because they became a vassal state early, while the whip goes to the Kingdom because of what happened. And all the other kingdoms will have to choose whether they want the whip or the carrot and quickly fall in line.

oh oh, this is wild i completely forgot vol 12 and 13 is gonna be a movie and its kinda very important for context and plot. stuff happens to make sense of whats happening but we can not, not have vol 14 be the finale tho. 700 pages tho oof, im routing for the anime nonetheless

The king is broken, remember him at the end of season 3? He was devastated, so many deaths and his best pal RH. You also see his son trying to get him out of the palace, opening curtains and telling him to take a walk. Sadly it took 4 years for this season to appear, so all those details are not remembered anymore.

that and someone in studio messed up english translation subtitles they didnt send the supplies to the theocracy....... they sent it to the Holy Kingdom big oof, the theocracy hates the sorcerer kingdom openly EP 3-4 that's the theocracy, there is no alliance they mean the holy kingdom throughout the ep every time they say holy kingdom the english translator wrote theocracy in sub which is technically by definition isn't wrong but in Overlord theocracy is a whole different kingdom woops like big mess up they are two completely separate kingdoms.

The carrot is the carrot. The reference is you treat those loyal to you well I.E. the carrot and you crush those who oppose you I.E. the stick. In this case, Ains treats the Empire which submitted to him without question well and he will destroy the Kingdom that has attacked him minor noble or no they all will suffer.
