Congratulations u have survived what is widely considered the “worst” rated episode of stranger things. Does that surprise you? Idk I don’t think it’s that bad, just the entire series so good

Gotta say this is my least favorite episode of all the seasons in stranger things, I get it serves a purpose I guess but I skip this episode every time, that’s just me 😅 can’t wait for the next episode tho! Love your guys reaction to this series so far!

This episode is the definition of filler and a waste of 40 minutes. This was a fail attempt at backdooring and spin off. I think most people can agree you can just skip this episode and still not miss anything.

looks like i'm the only one that doesn't hate this episode xD I guess I can see why people see it as a filler but like you guys said, I think it was important for El's character development. She's stronger now and she realized where she belongs. They should have added a little bit of development for the main story here and there, then to me it would have been a really great episode like any other.

I completely agree! It was also a great way to expand the world of stranger things as well as seeing what being a teen in the 80s was like if you didnt live in small town America

When this episode first aired I actually liked it because it gave me hardcore X-Men vibes but the rest of the show goes in a different direction and the whole premise got abandoned

The biggest problem I have with this episode, is that it feels disruptive. Last episode ending was at the moment where shit hits the fan and this episode shows no progress to that plot. As you mentioned, they should've progressed the main plot as well. I also agree that this episode is crucial for El's character development.

2023-01-05 02:02:04 Originally one of the big points of this episode was to introduce us to this team of people because they wanted to make a spinoff series based around them. Because the episode was so widely criticized that idea got dropped & they didn't do it.
