I got someone asking for a few episode of black clover in dub.
do you prefer Black Clover in sub or dub ?

Dub isnt bad but you guys already started on the sub so switching now would be a bit weird.

Personally IDGAF but a lot of people have a problem with how loud Asta is in the dub (being real he is just as loud in the sub but it’s easier to ignore when you are reading)

I know some prefer dub but me personally I can never watch any anime dubbed but just my preference

I always been someone who watched anime in both sub and dub to avoid being bias. I think the dub and sub are both decent when it comes to black clover. the reason I think someone would suggest dub is if your missing important moments in sub due to reading the subs. which to be honest anyone who watches sub can admit to since you cant watch the entire screen and read at the same time. I definitely prefer you all to watch over reading a show since if you wanted to read you could just read the manga. but its up to all. either way knowing you all i believe you will do what you want regardless of what this poll results are. I enjoy your reactions and love black clover so either or is fine.

Yeah I just straight up won’t watch dub unless it’s one of the all time great dubs, like full metal, I preferJapanese voice actors for some reason, feels like it’s how the media is supposed to be portrayed maybe, or the annoying aspects of English speakers are more annoying when you can understand them, idk just an experience I enjoy more I guess, most dubs I have just hated, one example is “overly cautious hero” very funny show, jokes do not translate to English at all, was horribly horribly unfunny on dub, great anime in sub tho

Haha happens. Lol. My gundam reactions are better when I switched to Dub. But reading comments. We lose supporters who don’t like Dub. So there’s that. Lol. I’m fine with sub anyways. Especially with peers. But I’m either reading or looking at images lol. Hardly both 😭😂😭. If a baddie show up. I read less 🙌🏽😂

Yeah I find most comedy’s and romance anime don’t translate well in dubs, shonen are usually pretty fine though

I prefer Dub. Asta's dub voice, as well as Yami's are FIRE. Captain of the Golden Dawn also has probably the most soothing voice I've ever heard as well. Fuego is ALSO WAY BETTER THAN HIS SUB COUNTERPART. Anyone else is roughly the same as the sub, I feel

Sub takes away from seeing beauty of the art dub is better so you can concentrate on the art beauty instead of having to read it to just understand what’s going on And these votes are never fair since a lot of people are to caring about the original stuff to try it in another language at times

I see a lot of black clover viewers say they prefer sub then say they just read and ignore the voice acting they don't like, that was always counter intuitive to me

I watched both sub and dub of most anime released. I prefer dub but I like the sub aswell. You can try couple dubbed, but you are already 30 episodes in subbed. Might be weird to switch. I don't hate on people who like one or the other. I like the dub for this one. either is fine.

Sub is superior for BC unless we are talking the first few EPs where Asta jp voice actor was getting used to his first major role without the help of anyone since the production for the series is rushed

I always listen in Sub then the dub, but depends on the voices for the mains protagonist, like in Highschool DxD, the dub is amazing, but for slime i can't stand the dub for the our slime lord. And the lines might change bc of translation, which works for some but not all, Overlord and DxD are the two i prefer the dub probably a couple of other just can't think of them rn (dialogue of DxD blows it's sub out of the water, it's one where if you had to react to one anime again but in dub, it's DxD without a second thought)

Koneko is arguably better in the dub, tbh. I like her sub voice as well, so she's one of the rare ones who is best grill in both the sub & dub, ez

All the series/anime/movies I've watched were in Original version with subs. I prefer this over dub because most of the time I just feel I'm missing out on content for mistranslations or even not being able to have the correct emotional expressions in voice actors. So I would 110% chose sub over dub.

I don’t really know because I am a Japanese, but are foreign VAs as good as Japanese VAs that have been doing anime for years? Like I’m sorry but dub for Luffy did not sound right to me at all, and OP is one of the most popular anime in the world.

It just depends, sometimes they nail it and do great and other times dubs are terrible.

it just comes down to there are not many dub voice actors, so not only is the quality lower because theyre so many fewer people but then the same va might voice act like 3 characters in the same one series and everyone sounds the sameand its horrible

Its the same as acting, depends on the director and how hard they push to get quality. Like Gundam Build Fighters was trash but Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood was gold, same with Gundam OO being gold, if u want the same series for comparison

Japanese VA industry has been having a lot of money and respect due to their history of success in entertaining people with their voice acting. Japanese VAs even have fans to themselves regardless of their performing characters. I just have not seen the same for any non-Japanese VAs and I do not see how they can justify themselves taking original voice away other than “preaching” the content overseas. But preference is preference, and reading sub can be distracting. So it’s mmmm
