the human side wasn't supposed to be in the anime but for some reason they added it and it was rushed. But for me i think that if they would remove Shun as a character the human side would have been 100 times better, he has every cliché i could think a hero would have; The person he admired got killed, power of friendship will win, he can't run because he is the hero, being dumb but strong (in terms of his peers). Julius would have been a better main character for the human side, shun feels more of a puppet than Hugo is but in a different way, Hugo is a puppet because he is being used to oblivion and they don't even care for his life, while shun is a puppet because he feels empty as a character.

I am not roasting. I agree the art has been bad and the characters are bland, but there is important info and I hope it leads up to a epic finish. Also in the beginning you said D was the Dragon dude, but they are different. Remember when D talked to the Dragon dude in the very beginning on the phone.

yes i know that the human side is in the LN but it isn't in the manga i i think the anime was going for the manga adaptation but changed to the LN last minute .

No? Not everything is manga based. Most of it is light novel based you’d know this the second the human side showed up in the anime

It was not admin D that talked with Ariel the demon lord, it was Admin G. Güliedistodiez. or Güli for short. They also didnt talk about that Kumoko speeds up the end of the world, just that Güli help Ariel this one time because his underling, the dragon, caused trouble for Ariel Merazophis is the butler that serves Sophias family. He was also the one that drove the carriage when Kumoko saved them from the bandits. Julius didnt die on demon territory, he died while defending one of the Human forts that where under attack. Remember, the demons declared war on the humans and attacked their forts. Julius had the bad luck to be on the front with the white lady and get dusted. If he was on the front with Merazophis, he would probably live. But we dont know how strong Merazophis really is.

First of all "Records of Ragnarok" (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie) has been released in Netflix. I asked you guys to make reaction to it's trailer. Shortly said it's gods vs humankind fight in arena style 1v1 =) CGI in this episode was so bad that it hurt to watch and it being even more with Shun mainly yelling with really bad CGI movements.

Yeah. The CGI Is really bad. Which is a shame it seems that they had a decent budget when they started and ran out of money halfway through. :S The CGI just get worse and worse. :(

You may not have noticed, but the reason Shun said Magic AND Weapons will not work on Sophia, is because she block the full on sword strike with her forearm.

Also remember, we learned that Kumoko is a major introvert, we see this when she talks with Guile Guile. As a Introvert, I full understand how Kumoko is such a energetic when she is talking to herself, but as soon as she talks to some else she is like another person.

Don't understand why people so over the top judge a anime based on the animation, and not on the plot and story. Story and plot should be more importin than the animation. But then my generation still read books.. so we can still use are imagination.

I didn't say I hate the story as that is good even this part with Shun is decently interesting. I miss times when there was no CGI used. Do understand why they are using it more and more as it makes it much easier to produce anime out.

Nah, the human side was completely fine in the novels. Also, people exaggerate how bad the human side is just because the Kumoko side is more interesting. They're completely ignoring why the human side exists. You can see certain viewers who for some reason didn't figure out the time period differences after 20 episodes.

@Danie Borrego, I get that. I'm going to talk about the LN now but I won't give anything away. It'll just be about the way it was written and how it translated to the Anime. The way Okina Baba had it written in the LN was balanced. You'd get a dry chapter with the humans then the next chapter would be Kumoko doing Kumoko things. This episode just feels like they were stretching the scene out too long to not give away any upcoming events. Also, the humans were a bit more flushed out in the LN if you ask me. I felt more connection to them in the LN than I do in the anime. Alot of the stuff that made the characters likable or relatable just didn't translate into the Anime series.

So far, only 1-2 reactors actually commented on Sophia and Merazophis's wholesome relationship. That's unfortunate. It's unfortunate people are not paying attention to the great story and hints everywhere.

Well pretty much she turned Merazophis to a vampire slave. That is how I see it, as he was fully human when he was serving her father. So what actually happens to that family interested to see if we get that info in this season.

I understand that they wanted to follow the LN's progression but they should have abandoned the human side story for a while. As it stands, if this anime keeps going, we won't see the human side story progress for... 2-3 more seasons?

I do agree with you on this one @GorillaTaxtiX but thats going to be the case with ALL light novel adaptations same for boos to films hell even books to tv shows (Looking at you game of thrones) there is always going to be more connection especially to Shun in spider cause well..in the books we are in Shun's head alot more we hear his thoughts more and it fleshes him out. Spider as a show has to balance the human and the spider part or the climax's don't really feal earned? (Only read up to volume 7 myself so far) Also the people complaining about the animation its not terrible sure there has been some bad parts what anime has no bad parts? I feel they have atleast done the best they could here.

i would prefer that they made the human part look good even if they had to delay the anime, while i don't care about the animation except the 1 FPS part last EP, i would have liked that they made the humans more likeable.

The thing with the human side is after next episode (atleast in the light novel) it does take a quite large break and focuses on Kumoko from what i remember

Yeah, in the WN it takes a massive break. That's why I suggested season 3 or 4 of the anime would pick them back up. The light novel actually looks like it might even take longer given the changes so far.

I'm curious how much of it was budget and how much was due to rushing or the pandemic. The level of bad on the CGI in the human episodes points to something going very wrong during production.
