Toei has some overseas animation units that handle some episodes. Basically with series like this, the work needs to be divided among different animation teams in order to meet the required deadlines of the show. In addition to this, some sequencing in in-between animation is sometimes farmed out for overseas Pacific studios to do. Animation and art quality tends to depend on both the skill of the animators in question in addition to the effort put in by episode and animation directors. Even if the budget allows, some directors will do a questionable/poor job for the sake of getting it done on time and under budget.

Yay Buggy is back in the scene. I do have to admit, i didn't like him the first time he showed up. But he grew on me, at this point in the story i really like him. You are moving quick, 4 episodes twice in a row. A fiver not that long ago. You are in second gear it seems,

Yes this is anime cannon, but its important, and very important for world building and much more. Its basically missed manga material, manga did short little flashbacks form what i heard and this fleshes it out. Anyone know for sure tell me too.

will you also react to the one Piece Movies. Movie 4, and 6 are the best early one piece movies and once you get further into One Piece you can watch Strong World, Film Z, Film Gold, and Film Stampede which are really great movies.

Sometimes it just seems like the budget goes to whoever has the most going on in their design which kinda makes sense I guess. I could be wrong though

I actually rather like the animation style in Robin's scenes. The thin lines remind me of the sort of dynamic, fluid style found in Masaaki Yuasa's work, or Mamoru Hosoda when he worked on One Piece movie 6.

The animation for robins part wasn't even bad. Its just a different art style with lesser details. It can be really jarring to flip between art styles like that though. It's also true that certain characters get more details depending on their design and of course most of the budget will go to the most important and impactful scenes. Like Erza said, just go with the flow bruh :P

You talking about budget in a weird way. They're different art styles, not "less expensive animation". Robin's part looked awesome to me. A different style for a different setting.

I think you don’t have good eye for art and animation. I actually noticed in other moments in one piece where animation is so well done and yet no sort of reaction comes out from you guys. Toei animations heavyweight animator is called Naotoshi Shida. You guys have seen his work before. It would be nice if you guys notice different elite animation sections in one piece, it makes for a great reaction. Just advice from a consumer guys, nothing serious. I enjoy your guys reaction xx

I think the animation is more reminiscent of early japanese animation more corresponding to style of Ghibli studio like grave of fireflies ....

You guys have finished the war arc by now it seems so it's okay to mention this......6:06-6:21 I was like 😳😬😅 You poor lovely people. Yes it's a shonen, but it's not like others. I'm not trying to bash other shows; but for instance, I watch the Dragon Ball series for a while and loved it.....until I got tired of the same old same old. No one truly dies hardly EVER (whole planets even come back), and the power ups are slightly different and just stronger. The foes started blending together for me too. I love practically every shonen anime, but Dragon Ball is one I can only watch for a while and then get bored. I don't hate the show, it just lacks here and there. By the way, Vegeta was/is my favorite after a while☺️👍. So far the Dragon Ball series is the only one I've watched only once AND haven't finished. Maybe it gets better? Let me know if I should give it a go again 😁.

Even if you've completely forgotten the conversation between Shanks and Whitebeard (which was kind of a big deal...): Shanks is an Emperor. He literally has the same status as Whitebeard. Why even assume that he relies on randomly given information via chance encounters. Shanks knows the seas. He's considered to be one of the people who rule them

It’s cool that you Disagree. It’s cool that you never heard it before. Never the less. That’s what we discussed and shared on camera. I too literally hear things I’ve never heard before as well. Makes life interesting i hope

First of all, you wouldn't have to make assumptions at all if you remembered the conversation Shanks and Whitebeard had. So you're missing all the information. On top of that you are not really considering Shanks' position and are guessing that Mihawk told him (without anything that would suggest that) - which is basically just assuming that Mihawk has more intel than Shanks (again, nothing that would suggest that) So, yes. These assumptions are simply guesses. I've never heard anyone assume those things because it's literally random - nothing in the story suggests it. But that wasn't even what I was surprised by. It's okay to forget things and/or get things wrong. That's w/e. But the portrayal of Shanks, how he's positioned in the story, the only conversation between two Emperors that you've ever seen and such a big plot point is definitely worth being reminded of. Which I'd simply expect an active comment section to do. That's why I was surprised that no one did. That's all.
