I just want to clarify one thing for you because it's a bit hard to grasp the timeline of the events in the beginning of the episode. You said Subaru only has like one second to save Rem but that's even worse : at the moment he realises everyone has forgotten about Rem, it's already been a long time since Gluttony took Rem's name and memories. If you remember in one the last episodes of season 1, there is a blank letter that's supposed to be sent to the mansion, but all they receive is a blank letter. The letter was actually written by Rem, and since memories of Rem have been erased from this world, the letter turns blank,so yeah Subaru was really fucked no matter what. I think it's brilliant from the author to have dropped such a subtle hint to tell us something bad has happened.

Well, that episode is what every gamer expierienced at least once: FUCK AUTO-SAVE! Like if you ever got auto-saved frame before death/with almost 0 hp/with 0 ammo...I got all 3 at some point

Nice talk about boxing at start. Season 2 has started been waiting for this for you guys. 1. Return by Death is a curse from the witch. Which should be clear, so that power only works for what helps for whatever reason the witch gave that power to Subaru. So Subaru has no control over it. 2. Check that moment when Gluttony "eats" Rem. There is a hidden image of what IF Subaru had gone with Rem in episode 18. 3. Empty letter came to the mansion when Subaru was fighting Betelgeuse that is about the time when Rem was already gone. 4. You guys reaction was funny again, you went so happy and got counter punched hard with "Who is Rem?" :D

3 coments on one episode, whats wrong with me? xD But I just have to...Directors comparasent to chess is accualy so wrong it is right. As a former pro player (not Grandmaster lvls, but still pro) I have to say, you almost never keep Queen close. And both close to king, and close to action is 99% the worst place for Queen to be. You always "send Queen away", to position she can always jump in. Sending Queen head on to the frontlane is just like sending King...even if it don't backfire so hard you lose the game, it more often helps oponent set up defence, than helps you with attack. (Obviously it's all situational, and sometimes you even sacrifice Queen for attack, but thats super rare, the general rule is: Queen goes in last).

Its obvious is has to do with the witch, but what made it obvious the witch gave it to him? I hope your spoiling this and it seems obvious to you because it was revealed in the source material? Because there has been nothing to make it clear the witch gave him this power, we might be able to infer it but its not like its been answered or anything.

San vs Sama is a matter of respect. Sama is reserved for lords and people of significantly higher class. It is pretty much never used these days, but I imagine if you were talking to someone like the Prime Minister you would still use it. Subaru should probably be using Sama for Crusch too, but he tends to get overly-familiar with people (calling Emilia "Emilia-tan" etc etc.) San is for everybody, but friends tend to drop titles among each other and just use names. That's why Subaru was unhappy hearing Emilia say "Rem-san." Just another reminder of all that familiarity lost.
