I feel like when ae ra dad came to the motel , the landlady hid behind the counter. It didn't initially click in my head but after your discussion at the end, I think maybe she is her mum too. I dont know the story by the way , if people complain about me giving spoilers... Im as clueless as them lmaaoo

when i watched this for the first time, i really didn’t like joo man, their relationship was sooo toxic. but after rewatching this a lot of time, and also now that im older, i realized why do they introduce this kind of characters. people and feelings are complex, and since the main theme of this show is navigating life, i think it is also necessary to represent this kind of complexity in relationship, maybe when i was younger i just wanted to watch all that kind of lovey dovey type of things thats why i think that time, i didnt really understand why are they acting that way. you’re insights are always on point and i really like how you guys analyzed things, helps me understand life way better. for me this drama is peak ROMCOM, it is one of my fave romcom, and just a bit tmi, i became impatient in waiting in youtube thats why i subscribed here yesterday and binged watched all ffmy reaction lol (new patreon user here)

I want Seol-hee and Joo-man to break up and for her to blossom 🌼🥳💃 without him. And I want Joo-man to start dating the other girl and feel trapped or unfulfilled somehow 😢. I have a feeling if Joo-man starts dating this other girl and don't get promoted she will either move on to another guy or treat him like he treated Seol-hee.

57:55 The whole Park Hye-ran and Dong-man thing was cringe🫣 . Now that we see a little bit of their backstory, I kinda understand where she is coming from. She loves this man but he never really loved her or took her seriously, his closest friends didn't accept or like her from the start, and Ae-ra was a constant obstacle in their relationship. She was successful in her career but never really got what she wanted which was Dong-man. While Ae-ra always had Dong-man and was never successful with her career. I'm still rooting for her cause someone has to. Lol. I just hope she doesn't do something irredeemable. I'm not rooting for her to be with Dong-man. I want her to get over him and do her own thing.

I agree with Adorkable. When dealing with their relationship problems in K-dramas and C-dramas, you have to come up with K/C - drama solutions. Communication is always option M, if not Z, for these characters. So many of these dramas would be five episodes shorter if one of the main leads was like, "You know what? I'm going to speak directly to the source and try to resolve this miscommunication or problem."

I think you're seeing it through her skewed lens of perception and forgetting that she literally used him whenever she was in between rich men, she basically chases men to get a higher status in her social life and career and when it fails she goes running back to Dong Man to soothe her ego because she knows that he's someone Ae Ra wants. She was Ae Ra's college class mate and she literally saw Ae Ra and Dong Man and decided she was going to have Dong Man simply because of Ae Ra. I think you fell for her genjutsu.

I really need my girl Sul Hee to move on and start bigging herself up. In the past flashbacks all we see her getting constantly worn down by this man and feeling like she has to be a certain way for him to like her...and if he was just honest with his feelings and communicated properly instead of pushing her around and being MEAN TO HER, I honestly feel like she wouldn't have grown to be so codependent and underdeveloped. He basically groomed her and now is unhappy with the result and sees a fresh start with someone new and eventually he's gonna grow tired of her and try again with another girl...it's such a real life trope imho and I've met my fair share of men like that. Sometimes you need to know when to let go of the weight holding you down and vice versa, you can't keep holding someone back because you're afraid to be alone. Sul Hee really needs to regain some of her broken confidence, I feel like we got a little glimpse of it when she took over that commercial...and I'd love to see more of that side of her. I hope she ruins his career and outshines him and makes him jealous and beg for her to come back to him!

I would agree with you except for where she constantly breaks up with Dongman and comes back when she newly single. Like she literally just got divorced and they haven't seen each other for years but assumes Dongman would always leave space for her to come back. Granted he did a lot in the past. He's weak lol. It's like she just wants to win against Aera in both career and Dongman

I can see why she would constantly break up with Dongman because he always treated Aera more like a girlfriend then her. It seems like every time she breaks up with him he really doesn't care. And she would always come back because she loves him. I think what she said in the scene was interesting, "Aera again? you think I was terrible. but you was cruel to me to."
