The new mobs pack download for 128x/256x res can be found pinned in the "gold-plus" channel on my patron discord for gold-tier-and-above only. Mob textures for 32x/64x res are already included in the basic pack.

The new mob texture looks best with shaders that support labPBR format emissive and sub-surface-scattering. Some of the mobs also features random alternate textures.

The new mix of chunky gravel will replace the original small gravel, you can only find pure small gravel in 32 blocks above/below sea level in non-river/stony_shores/snowy vanilla biomes.

Updated the rp test map with some biome fixes and display for the new mob textures.

Added new custom block properties file for SEUS PTGI HRR 3.

Click on the files inside the folders individually to download them

  • Basic: all required essential vanilla textures
  • Addon: optional extra biome-specific textures that fits vanilla gameplay
  • Bonus: optional extra biome-specific textures that doesn't fit vanilla gameplay
  • Items: item and armor textures
  • Models: optional extra custom models, works with any res versions


The "basic" pack need to be loaded at the bottom (just above default pack), and the optional packs can be loaded on top in any order.


The texture resolution for "basic", "addon", and "bonus" pack need to match each other for pathtracing to work properly, but you can use whatever res you like for the "items" and "models" pack.

The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with SEUS PTGI HRR and "Smooth Lighting" option disabled, or shaders with labPBR SSS texture compatibilities. Otherwise I don't recommend using it.

Please check the included "features list" text file inside each optional pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, or how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.

!! Don't try the 256x versions unless you have >48GB of RAM+VRAM !!


Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:

  • "Quality Settings > Connected Textures" to Fancy
  • "Quality Settings > Natural Textures" to Off
  • "Quality Settings > Custom Colors" to On
  • "Quality Settings > Anisotropic Filtering" to OFF
  • "Detail Settings > Alternate Blocks" to On
  • "Detail Settings > Trees" to Smart or Fancy
  • "Performance Settings > Smart Animations" to On
  • "Shaders > Shader Options > Raytracing Options > Full Raytrace Reflections" to On (for SEUS PTGI shader only)
  • "Shaders > Shader Options > Texture Resolution" to match the res of the pack you're using (for SEUS PTGI shader only)


Optionally could download the block properties file included in the download link and use it to overwrite the same file inside SEUS PTGI shaderpack.
The file adds several fixes, and makes ore crystals glow if you enable "glowing redstone block" or makes the bonus pack scifi panels glow if you enable "glowing emerald block" in the shader options.

The 256x version already is insanely hard to run (considering it eats VRAM).

From what I've heard it already does, you just need to install optifabric, or other alternative mods that adds the required features like optifine-format connected textures and custom tint colors.

Hey Patrix! Amazing work as always but now that I see that you can create side textures for blocks that normally have just one texture on all the sides I have to ask if that is possible for the sand as well? I don't know if I'm the only one but for me, the Desert is way too chaotic because the heavily shadowed sand is also on the side of the texture, and in my opinion that looks kinda strange. That's actually the only thing that always kinda bothered me. Would be great to see some minor changes on the sand texture in the future perhaps, Otherwise keep up the great work man. I love it!

Since the 64x and 32x versions are just scaled down versions of what I'm assuming is the native 256x res that you created all the textures in, and you included the mobs into the 32x and 64x versions, one could assume they are actually finished textures, and not works in progress that require a gold membership to download, but more of a marketing strategy to try to pull $5 instead of $1 out of people for a single month.

Generally I avoid adding extra optional texturesets unless it bothers me extremely while roaming around in survival. So far the sand doesn't bother as much considering how many texture it will take if I were to add a dedicated set to the sides. Also I'm not even sure how would I make it not stand out from the sides, since the problem is mostly caused by vanilla terrain generation being unrealistic and not the texture.

OK....I'm as interested in Patrix' "Mob Development" as I am in everything else he's done so far and that prompted me to jump up to the "Gold Tier". I reckon I'll stay here as long as mobs development continues...I like where it's going so far.. I did notice after adding the mob resourcepack I just downloaded that the Golems are back the way I likes 'em...Robo-style.

for some reason my xp, health and other bars are in default textures. as recommended i put the files in order and changed the settings. anyone else having the same issue or has an solution for this?

Dear Patrix. I love your work. I love playing with this texturepack. Sadly the Mediafire download doesnt work. I and many others cant use the latest version of it, even though we paid for it. It would be nice of you to get yourself enough bandwith for all of your supporters. You make 7k a month. Its not to much to ask for. Thank you and keep up the hard work!

The best most stunning pack available for MC, superb. The weapons and hand held items, is there any way to make them more high res? To match the 128 / 256 resolution packs? I would love it if my axe and items in my hand looked as good and shiny and real as the world :)

Hay i love your Texture Pack but there is a Porblem when you use Fabric with Sodium because there is no option for connected textures. Is there any chance that you can fix this in the pack? Because otherwise it's not working...

Hey, not sure if this is the place to ask, but i had a question regarding the Wall blockstates. How am i supposed to set them? Figuring out how to set piston to wheel was easy enough, but any time i try using the walls nothing happens. Command ive been using: /setblock ~ ~ ~ end_stone_brick_wall[east=none,north=none,west=none,south=none,up=false] Did i misunderstand something or is it bugged currently?

Hey Patrix, I love your work so I bought the Gold Tier so I could get the Mobs Pack but I can't find the Discord link to get to the pinned post with the download. How to do I find the download?

You banned me Patrix from Discord just for asking how to install or get textures working. You are very arrogant and you treated me very badly, but despite everything I found a solution to play it at high fps and even be able to play with the textures at 256x. You don't need a super computer as you say, you need to look for solutions and work intelligently. The solution is: "Iris and Sodium". With Optifine I ran at 2fps. Now with Sodium I run at 80fps using only 8G of RAM. I give the solution for your users and for you, despite your bad treatment towards me. You should give me a gift, textures at 1024px or 2048px? Any other gift? I think I deserve. I imagine that with Sodium it will be possible.

But how arrogant you are. What does it have that does not have connected textures activated? Looks the same. Also if it can't run on Optifine and others at as low as 128x, let me tell you, your textures ARE VERY POORLY OPTIMIZED. Thats the reality. I'll leave the solution for whoever needs it. Hi Patrix, I started a membership with you today. I installed everything correctly as you wrote it in your guide. But the mobs like zombis ect. are not even displayed in 32x can you please help me? I would be extremely disappointed if I had to pay more now without being told beforehand. :(

Hello good sir! Curious about the future - since the memory reqs are so high for the pack, do you think there would ever be a way to optimise/crunch the pack a little? Or even maybe do a "lite" version with fewer connected textures? I mention this hypothetically, knowing it's not the point of this resource pack, but the texes themselves look so good even without using all of the other (amazing) extra enhancements! Question aside, thanks for enabling my minecraft to compete with Crysis =D

Thanks! I won't cut down the amount of textures nor change how it is applied since it would mean redoing almost every block. The only thing you can do is hope for future hardwares to get better, or wait for custom mods to optimize the shader/resourcepack loading/rendering.

you need to use the correct RP setting as i had the same issue in shader options RP support changing this to labPBR fixed the issue
