Yes I'm self taught, unfortunately for me and my self esteem😔 I started to learn "seriously" 3years ago I think, from scratch, Steve Houston's anatomy course, and than many phases that still continues, when I tried to have an art style. The best advice here is to find your favorite god-tier artist(s) and try to copy them, thoughtfully and with analysis, I believe that advice is from TB-Choi. Also color theory from Proco, and perspective things from ModerndayJames, and honestly every youtuber except Mark Brunet lol, cus I think he's the worst art example. And for storyboards it's also good to copy your favorite manga frame by frame in a sketchy way, pay attention to size of the objects inside the panels, eyeflow etc. Also don't skip any preparation (sketch/colored sketch) step in your workflow bc you'll regret it on the line stage and coloring 🥴 *also I'm not satisfied with my progress and I doubt I have it at all, things are very hard to me, and very very often Dima helps me with a side view. If you have a friend that can tell you the truth about "oh that looks odd" Keep them close!
