rickie woodson

so i did some research and this isnt where the story ends as roshi says. there is a prequel series where the main antagonist is the joker and we follow a different alice (female this time). joker is hinted at as being the grim reaper (the word he uses to describe himself is "intermediary") so there is some things to explore with him. also the joker card at the end? a nod to the manga. right before returning to life the joker revealed himself to arisu just like the show revealed the card to us before ending. would have been less cryptic if they did it the manga way cause it got everyone going "is this reality or not" but no they really are back from the dead. there is also a direct sequel following arisu with a whole new cast of supporting characters as he goes back to the borderlines and fights to get back to the real world where usagi is waiting for him. so if they want they can so do more seasons of the show. its all about the numbers and if they see value in it

Raphael Joiner

This show was absolutely amazing.

Real Kest

Amazing

Zach Brandt

The injuries happened in borderland, not in their life that they returned to. So yes it still technically happened to them

Johnwick

Joker card still havent been cleared

Elle E.

10/10, great reaction!

medidas

So it is really the beam from heavens.. lmfao, God is scripting

Wes App

Usagi actually means rabbit in japanese

quxntum

it’s cuz they make it seem deep. like the queen of hearts at the end was tricking arisu they are intentionally tricking u into thinking that it’s a deeper meaning when there isn’t one. squid game left off on a cliffhanger so for it to not have a s2 would be worse than s2 being bad. the games are still going and we dk who created them, why, and who actually started it in the first place.

Michael M

I know no-one is gonna see this comment, but s3 has been confirmed by netflix so I think they intend to carry on past the manga

pmreez

There was a shorter 8 volume spin off called Road, with a girl also named Alice, set in Kyoto. There is also Road which is a direct sequel but very short, 13 chapters, and stars Arisu returning to the Borderland by himself. So I have a feeling S3 will take the premise of why he goes back maybe but change a lot, the only two actors confirmed to be coming back last I checked was Arisu and Usagi

Zach Brandt

So you’re telling me Tatta dies from a broken hand but Chishiya survives 2 bullet wounds, Kuina survives after being repeatedly shanked, Niragi survives with all his injuries and a shotgun blast to the torso, and Heiya survives getting shot 10 times. They did Tatta dirty 😭

Sera

It's because they had a stronger will to live. They have to fight for their lives in the Borderlands and Tatta didn't seem to value himself that much.

Zach Brandt

That makes sense, but it’s still annoying though. I’m only mad that niragi is still alive after how horrible he was to everyone

Sera

Yeah, I was so mad he made it. It's always the horrible characters that last longer than the good ones.

danial

Yeahhh he is horrible in the borderland, not in real life i guess. So kinda forgive him. My opi

armaan newaskar

Loved the show overall but there are a few changes from the manga I was kinda iffy about. 1. Wayyy more plot armor than in the source material, kind of as a result of removing certain characters (but that’s a different issue). 2. The Niragi downplay was crazy. In the manga he’s an intellectual equal to Arisu and Chishiya, but here some of his smart moments were given to Arisu. Also Arisu has more selfish moments, and Chishiya is way more morally ambiguous. This makes the 3’s confrontation in ep 7 make more sense, bcs u can understand the connection even more. But in the show it’s kinda like “how are they similar to you at all, your ass is just crazy”. At least that’s the vibe I got. Still an awesome show but with a few unsatisfying aspects.

Zach Brandt

I only dislike him in the show, he’s pretty cool in real life

Patrone07

It’s funny when you find out there actually in the border between life and death hint bonderland I think the purpose was to either stay and become a spirit between life a death hosting games or taking your chances with life if you survive. Everyone that died I think only had option one with no chance of staying in borderland

Aries

To explain the whole borderland situation that when those meteors fell on Tokyo it killed a lot of people so borderlands was created to help Mid-agate the massive loss of life and everyone that died in borderlands died in real life too.those that survived until the end were revived from death or cardiac arrest.Time moves differently in borderlands as well so those seconds/minutes they were “dead” was the entire show and they don’t really remember the memories of borderlands but they have subconscious memories of it. There’s a character that was cut from the manga but they will show that character next season if there is one.

dani. ౨ৎ

alice in borderland season two ending explained for anyone's who's confused.. as it showed the meteor hit, and everyone who's heart stopped were sent to "borderland" which is the "border" between life and death it had said arisu's heart stopped for a minute and in that minute he experienced everything we saw in the series. the games are basically them fighting to stay alive, and anyone who died in the games didn't make it out of their coma in real life and died.

Patrone07

How is that the case when it was stated the face cards was actually players who won before them meaning borderland is something that been going on not just this one special time .

Zeke

Yh, I noticed that. I don't get why they kept cutting stuff like that. It hurts the overall adaptation.

Infinity

NGL tho I feel like the way ann woke up looked weird. I bet because she was revived after the game already ended she came back with her memories. They obv wanna do a S3 i dont see anyway that happens without one of them remembering everything.

Zach Brandt

So are the kings/queens/jacks people that died from the meteor too? If so, why are they against the other players?

Bones

Sun

Extremely disappointed with the lack of dead people. Literally people who were suppose to die, still lived even though they were attacked in the most craziest ways possible. Kuina was stabbed like at least 5 times in the same spot and still survived.

jac jacob israel

I'm prolly the only one on this train but Can y'all do alchemy of soul ?

dani. ౨ৎ

i think so, and honestly i don’t know why they are against the other players. but i guess maybe we are gonna have a season 3 since the joker was show at the end of the episode and we’ll get more answers? But this is just one of the theories that’s been going around

Kangsta

The Joker could be different in the show but in the manga it's represents a godlike being that runs the borderlands, basically the announcer voice and it talks to Arisu a bit too.

Kiari

I think that all of them are still in the game. It’s just tricking them thinking that they made it out. When S3 comes, you know Arisu going to figure it out like he always do.

Teyon Alexander

Usagi’s wounds were reversed and I can’t unsee it

Aries

Everyone was sent into the borderlands at different times that’s why.

respect

the visas running out would simply be them losing the game still to be brought back to life.. not that it would be their heart stopping or medical not reaching them. running out of visas is when u dont play the game so clearly they just lost just as u would if u played a game and lost

afl_zimel

Well sad news I checked the manga and what they showed at the end is basically where it ended. I believe they left it open ended incase it gets renewed by Netflix which it has a high chance of happening but I also doubt that since the director and script writers would have to make a whole new script to has nothing to do with the manga which I highly doubt so don't get your hopes up but I sure will try to keep mine high. Sad days

sophia._.

I think it’s about how strong your will to live is so since Kuina and the others had a strong will to live, i think that’s why they survived. Also from according to what i learned, i think they were stuck between living and dying so like “stuck between the borderlands”. Since Tatta didn’t seem like he had a will to live i think that’s why he died.

Vin Diesel: One Last Game

x_XBurner361

Guess we learned that a full clip in Borderland is just a slap in the hand 🤣. If they do a S3, I’m thinking it’s going to be a prequel. They didn’t show a majority of the backstory around the facecard citizens. Gotta be a reason for withholding that.

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sun

I’ve read the manga. When you die in the borderlands, you don’t return. Basically meaning you’ve failed the chance to redeem your survival. Since everyone who was put into the borderlands were essentially given a chance to fight whether they survive to go back to the real world or die and go to the afterlife. Ann and Kuina should’ve died.

Norrin Radd

Queen of Hearts should win an Emmy for her performance! She's absolutely hypnotic! One of the best characters of any show out period, and she only had 1 episode. She needs a spinoff.

MonarchXIII

I haven't read the manga but from my understanding it ends basically the same with some details changed. Essentially there is a god and there an afterlife and a limbo (borderlands). That why it makes sense to suspend your disbelief on some bs that happens because it's not science, it's literally supernatural. As for the joker card, the joker shows up at the end of the last game and talks to Arisu. I believe Netflix just did that as an open ended ending just in case they renew it and milk it for a S3

Patrone07

I don’t know if you know or not roshi but the focus goes in and out on the video can barely see subs

cami ً

there's not enough content left in the manga to do another season, so I don't think netflix will renew the show and especially not now that they're pretty much betting everything on their live action projects (atla and one piece) thank you for reacting to aib!!!!! it was so much fun seeing you guys' reaction :) I don't know if you take recs from comments on here but I highly recommend watching korean show called the glory whenever your schedule frees up! it's only one season, though split into two parts and only 8 episodes are out at the moment (the remaining 8 will drop in march I believe) I'm also sure you'd love the Thai show girl from nowhere!!!!! they're both on netflix and even if it's not for a reaction, I bet you'll enjoy watching them!

RF

The Borderlands are lit the borderlands between life and death. Everyone that was caught in the astroid accident were sent to the borderlands, one minute in the living world can be months in the borderlands which is why there was time to play two full rounds and why the people were strickling in that way. So if you "die"/get sent to the Borderlands even a few seconds before someone else you'll end up at least a few days ahead of that person. The other stuff you talked about the visas and the games being you fighting to stay alive were pretty on point.

13

At the end of the day, while I enjoyed the adaptation as a whole, I absolutely hated all the netflix original scenes/storylines. Even more annoying was that manga was done and there was no need for the extra scenes

Sun

Not enough material for a season 3.

Kevin

I haven’t checked in a while so maybe it was discontinued. But I thought there was a second Alice in the borderland manga series that came out that continued where the first had left off

Riku

In the manga, arisu met joker briefly who was essentially god who created the games lmao and i think they just added that weird card ending in the show hoping for a renewal for season 3 but it’s a happy ending in the source material right here. And yes, the games did essentially happen in their collective consciousness— they all died and had the borderlands as an opportunity to live again! So as soon as players died in borderlands, no chance of coming back in the real world.

Starling

no, the kings and queens were there before when they all experienced near death. In the manga it shows they met and cleared the face cards and chose to stay back. At the beginning of episode 2 when kyuma and his band are introduced in the real world and theyre joking about the loser of the night driving, its assumed their car crashed and thats how they all ended up in borderland.

Victor Grubbs

Y’all should definitely watch Super Crooks on Netflix!

Anthony C’s

Dont know if your confused or not but she didn’t actually get stabbed with an actual knife everyone who survived came back with the injuries they received in the games, for example Niragi was shown burned by the fire at the beach and shot in the chest by a bullet but he most likely was burned by the impact and pierced by something, same with Usagi she probably received some shrapnel from the debris and so on and so forth

ThatOneGuy

From what I’m gathering those who decided to stay probably refused to move on to the afterlife so maybe a catatonic state or something like that

David Palacios

Technically there is a sequel manga called AIB Retry. But its very short and has a decent ending though there is only one single game but its nicely wraps up Arisu's story. They could do a movie for it as their is enough material for one just not enough for a whole season unless they expand it

David Palacios

Actually there is a sequel manga called AIB Retry, it takes place a few years after the ending of the original manga. Ah yes, the willpower of anime and manga pierces right towards my final destination... plot armor.

I'm pretty sure the joker card is death which explains the other world

Kraddaku

The Tea was laced with hallucinogens just an fyi

Patrone07

Aite i feel it but to your second how is Ann still alive since she didn’t respond and seemed pretty dead

Charlie baker

If I recall joker was the mysterious god/game master who returned them to the real world after they win and refuses to explain the nature of the borderlands

andimjustalex

what a wild ride. thanks for reacting to this series!

Mervyn Larrier

Young Baby survived 35 so its possible lmfao

Peachie Mellow

LMFAO YALL NOT GONNA CONFUSE ME I AINT BELIEVING SH✔️T OK!!?? W season all the way!

Asellian

IM ALSO SAD ITS OVER :(

Aries

When kuina held her hand she also declined staying in the borderlands which is what revived her in real life

Sughandi

I do wish that they would've gave one of Chishiya's games to Arisu or gave him a game that would've highlighted his intelligence more. He was in so many physical games and didn't have a chance to show out like he did last season

Denickart

I think Mira's talk no jutsu was just so strong that it could put people in a genjutsu like how Naruto did Obito.

Rai

If yall like shows with a revenge plot yall should check out "the glory"

Erica Collins

As much as I enjoyed S2 there was just so much more I wanted to know and see. Like all the face card games (that’s the most interesting part of the show imo), The Queen of hearts backstory (who reminds me of Yumeko from Kakegurui. They even have the same hairstyle 💀), Aguni’s story of what happened after The Beach, How Aguni & Akane met, & why she was so in love with him, Arisu & Chishiya in a game together (We were robbed of this smh), and then the whole gang in a game together.  And in the manga the Joker showed himself to Arisu before returning to the real world. He represents the ferryman from Greek mythology. Idk why they would cut that out bc it seems kinda important (It would’ve wrapped everything up) but it’s interesting that instead they show the Joker card in an ominous way making it seem as if there’s one game left. It makes me think there could be a S3 but since the manga is wrapped up idk how I feel about that. I wouldn't mind a spin-off show to see more games tho

Dark Shogun

I think it's possible that clearing the game and choosing to stay means that person will stay in a coma state. I think the face card characters were in a coma and when they lost their games they finally died in the real world. I also think the face card characters weren't part of the people that were in the meteor hit.

Drake Rage

I am only 30 mins into the episode and Sheera and Lupa are starting to buy the Arisu being a patient plot, but I must say, the scene where Chishiya said "I want to tell you something that I haven't told anybody" Then gets interrupted by Niragi who shoots him... what is the point of that? It can't be an illusion since the characters have their own motivations and information that is not part of Arisu's experience. I am not buying it still, but dang this is a crazy ride, fk that girl for playing with our minds, lmao.

Kenisha & Kim

I’ve been thinking that maybe their is gonna be a movie vs another season it would make more sense just to give it a proper ending

Starling

Exactly like how Heiya lost her leg in the game and the real world too but it constantly showed how she was determined to survive which is why she was able to hold out those gunshot wounds which should have immediately offed her.

Chelsea Bondzanga

I don't think it needs a s3, but that's just me. It's one of the few shows that has such a good conclusion. It subverted expectations without being entirely ridiculous. Not an easy thing to do.

HIM

Eat your heart out, Jolyene 😎 lol

Wallet

Huh? Tatta died from bleeding out, not because of some broken hand...

Zach Brandt

He broke his hand when smashing it to get the bracelet off, he bled out because of the broken hand

Steve

theres two, Alice on Border road takes place at the same time as borderland, and Alice in Borderland Retry, which is more a short story. My guess is they will do Border Road next for season 3 and then maybe Retry as a final movie to wrap things up, Border road makes sense because it expands on the origins of the borderlands, and with the card teaser at the end.. its all but confirmed.

Rene

So there is a part 2 manga where Arisu and Usagi are about to become parents. A statue collapses on Arisu and he finds himself in the borderlands again with a defferent cast of characters, and the knowledge that he is in fact at death's door.

Pedro Barrera

That happend because of ur internet bro, when your internet is kinda "low" it keeps switching quality (that's what you call "focus goes in and out") to keep the video not stopping, i never had that issue, hope this helps you

Jade Pinnock

Loved watching your reactions as always! If you're looking for another show to watch I think you guys would really enjoy this Korean revenge show "The Glory." It's amazing!

Oh Alone

All these guys get shot from 3 PM to 9 PM and are still alive, Meanwhile Tatta dead by hand crush

Fazzywazzy

Roshi with the excellent read on the lies Mira told

Oh Alone

Imagine you guys go to Shibuya cross street and the "OST Good Times" start playing.

rickie woodson

what the truman show, free guy, mojo world, murder world, danger room, holodeck tomfoolery is this???????????!!!! i mean i suspected that it was a virtual world where their minds were uploaded to as they are clearly not in the real tokyo, but the twist of the tv show aspect is CRAZY! and them choosing to do it with a storyline that suppresses their real world memories????????? SHOCKED! couldnt have predicted that. season has officially ended strong after a very middling 6 eps. 7 and 8 saved the show! im also surprised they told us so soon vs in season 3! wait WHAT?! it was a lie? DAMN YOU IT WAS A GOOD ONE! mira is very good at manipulating. she reminds me of the hypnotist lady from old boy and now seeing her seemingly hypnotize arisu into believing its all in his head, the parallels are even more obvious.

Jerome Rogers

Train to Busan 2 next trio movie poll!!!!!! And violent night too please

aadimy

ppl are saying the the joker card is there for the real world. the hardest game is life

HIM

I just want to say that the metaphor and symbolic messaging of life and the reasons to live are my favorite aspect of this season, and the story as a whole even. S1 didn't focus as much, IMO, about the reasons the players had for living. With Kyuma and the band, we started seeing the players' motivations and philosophies. With Chishiya's games, we saw his perspective first-hand and got to know an otherwise "unknowable" and enigmatic character like himself. Hell, "Tifa Croft" had my favorite backstory and growth, and she was barely more than a minor character! Even the King of spades in his final moments gained a tiny bit of understanding from me, as well as Mira's change of heart. I was looking at her as kind of an Angel of Death type deal, but really, she just might have lost her belief in love and thus stayed in the games taking lives as a way to fill the hole in her heart. A petty tantrum, if you will lol. And the final scene of everyone in the hospital was so heartwarming and gut wrenching at the same time (hyperbole, but still lol) 😢 I really almost teared up seeing Aguni in a full-body cast with all the tunes and shit... With all the issues he had in the games figuring his reasons to fight, to kill, and then to live, I find it touching that he was really on the brink of death as much as anyone. He struggled so much, he wanted to give up so many times.. IDK, Imagining him fighting to stay alive through so much pain, mentally, physically, AND emotionally... and for such a tough "I threw my emotions away years ago" type of guy, it kinda hurt, ngl. Anyways! Loved the ending, loved a happy turn out for Usagi and Arisu! As for a s3, All of us are Dead is going beyond it's source material for a s2, and it's probably why they fucked up s1 at the end. This show has potential for more games IF, and only IF they either introduce a new cast and story, but keep it transparent this time. OR they could continue with the aid of the original story writer. No more of this Joss Whedon ruining the Justice League type shit, ya digg? 😤 lol

HIM

The Roshi meter always leans towards bullshit 😆

rickie woodson

yeah that joker card was a "is this really the end? if we sell enough copies/viewership numbers are high enough we will come back". this show is what lost wish it was. a complete, cohesive, SHORT, story that is NOT dragged out and was actually fun and engaging to watch! im fine if it ends here but im also down for one more round to finish off the joker

FreshxEli Tv

In the manga that’s what happens they see the joker at the end 😂 literally they could keep going since that’s what happens in the manga can’t spoil anything else

Jalan

And now on to….. Warrior 🔥🔥

MC zsn

way fcking better than squid games, this shoulda blew up like squid games did instead of squid games

Alexus

Fire ass series. Let’s hope for a square off with some jokers. So I guess Chota did die a virgin then?? Also it would of been nice when queen Mira was talking out her neck if she could’ve mentioned if there was a solution for Arisu’s 7 of hearts game for all or him and his friends to survive. I need closure. Random question but do you guys ever rewatch series that have saw like twist to see missed hints?? If so you should do this one

Patrone07

That’s makes sense I stay in cali and the weather is been lil crazy lately I’m watching the show over Wi-Fi On my tv so pretty much yea

wayoflife

Also I believe the people that were there before them were probably hit first by the meteor/buildings so that’s why in season 1 ppl knew about how the games worked before Chota, Arisu, and Karube. They were in a bathroom which was a little further away enough to them avoid instant transportation a minute or two. Since it was minute in real life while it was probably a month or two in borderlands for ppl who was there immediately. The residents either died by the meteor and stayed or they were in borderland before the meteor, but overall this was a great show and I’m glad you guys watched it.

MC zsn

damn, you out here acting like you were the writer it's self

MC zsn

it's literally like roshi said, they're in limbo, the place where you aren't condemend to hell but don't get the luxury to enjoy the afterlife in heavens gates

Aries

That’s just my take from info I heard on the manga and speculation

Raul Gonzalez

Ayo Sweet Home from Netflix next???

Vincent S Deluca

I’m pretty sure it was essentially all of them fighting for their lives after getting hit by the Meteor, like if you pulled through the game and fought for your life, you would survive the Cardiac arrest, otherwise it would overcome you in a sense, same with the injuries, things would happen to mimic the injuries you had received in the crash like the chick losing her leg. ALTHOUGH they don’t confirm that and it’s very possible they’re all in another secret game since the Joker is the unexpected ultimate card

Alex

My head hurt lol

Rene

joker card represents that everything that happens in the show is a lie/joke since none of it actually happened in real life, hence, the joker card not showing up till the very end, or, could be what happened from the manga afterwards where the story continues in the future..

A. P.

I mean I don't know why I didn't expect it to end like this, the show is literally called Alice in Borderlands and it more or less has the same ending as Alice in Wonderland. If I remember correctly she just wakes up in her bed at the end or some shit and it was all a dream (or was it?). Was it all in Arisu's head, or were they really transported to another world, made to fight their way back to the land of the living? And I think the Joker card at the end was just like a yeahhh we got y'all niggas lol

Vevvev

i thought the ending was clear, it wasn't a ¨dream¨ per say?

returntolife

But then if they weren’t part of the people that were hit, how are they connected to the game? I’m so lost lol

returntolife

So is the joker essentially the administrator or the person who chose the Queens and Kings? Because I don’t recall seeing any of the kings or queens in the hospital. Where do they come into play? It also seems like they’re aware of what the real world is vs this fake reality. who exactly are they getting their orders from?

Kenyi

it's like Limbo, they were fighting to stay alive to survive the cardiac arrest.

A. P.

If that's your interpretation 🤷🏾‍♂️

Art

In the manga, the Joker appeared as an actual supernatural being at the end and spoke with Arisu, he basically oversaw the borderlands and felt that it was too wasteful for a meteor to kill so many people so he hosted these games to allow those who had strong enough will to live to survive.

Chelsea

You wouldn’t see them in the hospital cuz they chose way before to stay in the games. They likely didn’t die from the fireworks but from some other event and was in Borderland far longer than the meteor group. They probably just put two & two together and realized that by staying, they gave up on coming back to the real world.

Luffy_77

wow Sheera just blew my mind... king of spades was fucking death itself... he was trying to end everyones misery by getting them out of limbo, and think about it... he was the only "game" that moved around everywhere as if he was chasing everyone, he didn't serve another purpose but to kill unlike the other games where they had to beat beaten

VanessassaryEvil

What if the players who choose to stay remain in a coma in the real world until they die in the borderlands? 🫣

Derick

I think there is going to be a season 3 because the joker plays a role which wasn't potrayed here. unless they just wrote him out of this which im fine with aswell

Gyro

Swear arisu be looking tall ass shit but he only 5’10

DjinnBae

this shit really was complete and utter CLOWN SHOES .anime tropes cranked up to 100

DjinnBae

i was really enjoying the show for what it was up until last 3 episodes cranked the clown shoes

DjinnBae

l conclusion .. good watch i guess

Sylosis

Man this show tried real hard to be meta and deep at the end but just ended up coming off cheesy and ridiculous. Oh well at least it was an amusing/entertaining watch.

WeavyBoo

Madoka Magicka would be a dope trio reaction

jiggyj

kinda crazy to me how ppl are so mind blown over this shows fake deepness lol.. and the squid game comparisons omggg like sure, the game concepts are more interesting here, but the way they would unrealistically finesse every situation made them so annoying to watch. the anime tropes were strong af with this one but that's probably why y'all like it so much lol 🤷🏽‍♀️

Imari

Bojack Horsemen would be an awesome show for the next reaction

MancunianProphecy

I loved it when they bought into Mira's lie at the beginning.... That part folded me in the Manga. I imagine with the Joker card showing up they are going to continue the series with Alice in Borderlands: Retry? Fair play to them for not buying the Arisu in therapy lie though, I fell for that one as well. I kinda hope they do a spin off with the face cards though, and show their games they played when they arrived.

MancunianProphecy

Everything actually happened, the games were happening in Limbo and those who survived were given a second chance at life, those who died then died in the real world, and those who chose to stay, die in the real world but are stuck in limbo for eternity (unless killed)

MancunianProphecy

The Joker was a celestial being in the Manga who talks to Arisu at the end of the Queen of Hearts game after he and Usagi refuse permanent citizenship. Arisu immediately assumes him to be the one who controls the games, to which he asks if Arisu sees him as a Devil or God, to which Arisu replies "neither" and that he's just the intermediator.

MancunianProphecy

The joker only shows up in about 11 panels for the manga, and only a few words are spoken... in the series it would've probably had as much airtime as the card being shown at the end, however it would've probably been less cryptic as just showing the card.

A. P.

I get that. My only point was that the ending was just like that of Alice in Wonderland, where Alice herself was left thinking that it was all a dream, along with the audience until she speaks with her sister and she mentions things from Wonderland and it then it's implied that her journey was indeed real, but even then it's still sort of left up to the audiences interpretation. Same here. Some would think it was real, while others could say it's just a product of these characters' brains gathering subconscious/subliminal cues and memories and stringing together similar experiences and feelings of remembering each other and all that due to their shared trauma. Sure, we may know the authors intent, but without it being as explicit as for example, the ending of Lost, it leaves the audience with room to doubt and interpret things on their own in their own way.

Why did shows randomly start to get so bad at ending? I swear I haven't been fully satisfied with the ending of a show/anime since parasyte

Yo Ku

they were all stuck in purgatory, reminds me of Angel Beats

I love both the series and the manga, but as many have probably stated, the backstories for the Face Cards needed a bit more. Especially for the Queen of Hearts, if you haven't read the manga, it is hard to understand her being who she is, an actually neuroscientist and psychiatrist, in this last ep. These people in the games have been in survival mode since they got there and are on the edge of mental/physical limits. Their minds are puddy to someone who knows how the human mind works. And she had a pretty big impact on his future, in the manga at least, given their small interaction. The four main Face Cards, I couldn't say for the rest of them, really strived to help the MCs in a very twisted and brutal manner. I definitely recommend reading the manga, especially this last game, it's wild. I definitely enjoyed the show, this season felt as if they should have stuck more to the source material. Not including the Joker scene was a mistake IMO. Overall I definitely enjoyed watching with yall.

What was the point of adding in the guy assaulting the girl if they were gonna be like oh this isn’t real, he’s a normal guy too?

Loved the ending of this show. Wanna get your brains folded? Watch Dark, its a german netflix show, if you guys havent seen yet, it would be some great reactions

2023-01-16 16:05:49 The show has the whole Alice in Wonderland motif so then waking up from the borderland is like Alice waking up from the wonderland

my brotha, how else were they gonna end this show? since the very beginning this show has been anime clown shoes. its better than some generic "oh its vr" or "oh it was all a dream"

watch mob psycho and you wont be disappointed :)

Well, maybe because it was a manga???? This show isnt that deep, the point of the ending was to be a subversion of the typical ending you would get, and it worked, is it perfect? no. But it worked. and please dont tell me you actually liked SG more than this.

your pfp is CLOWN SHOES and it was a manga, NO SHIT it had anime tropes, its not an original story being told, only adapted

i'm aware it's a manga, not every manga/anime uses "anime tropes" so heavily.. like just bc a movie is action doesn't mean it has to be John Wick lol and that's my point, the show isn't deep at all yet ppl are acting as if it is. did it work? not imo lol which is subjective. and my ranking would be AIB S1 > SG > AIB S2.. also I don't think SG needs a S2, that seems like such a cash grab
