Fun fact, in the Manga when Veldora kept interfering in the meeting Rimuru did spoil the plot for the manga he was reading. So Veldora got a little pissed that Rimuru gave Ramiris a warning instead of just spoiling it like he did with him.

The dryads were fawning over Ramiris cause they originally served under her before she became a Demon Lord and disappeared. And Rimuru played Elalude with the road construction, cause they get the toll money, plus any money paid for services they put up like inns and materials they gather from patrolling the route

i think shions cooking gift can be used offensively and thats what she did to them. basically fillet them but so finely they didnt bleed. something fucked up like that. and the fairly demon lord WAS the queen of all spirits before she became a demon lord. thats why the dryads are fawning over her . shes thier queen.

Dunno if it's the covid effect but they're really padding the runtime and taking a lot of animation shortcuts. If you watch closely, half the opening is reused footage from the first opening (souei slicing his swords and shion diving with her sword) and still shots already used (the still shots of them in military uniforms is litteraly the promotional poster).

So a fun fact is that it happened because of Shion's master chef ability. Essentially she was cutting up their bodies without actually causing any pain or doing any damage and rearranging their bodies and I think even feeding them to themselves a bit, all the while they are still alive and watching it happen. Over several hours of "interrogation", they all go catatonic from shock/horror and it even forms an actual curse that Diablo has to break later in order to heal them.

A lot of stills and stuff like that is to save time, some have said (after next episode?) Is when a lot of the action should start. So some studios use stills and reuse to save time so they can focus on the action plus the season had a break for that reason

I’m gonna make the prediction here that Rimuru will be missing from about 7-10 minutes of the next episode then the episode is going to end with everybody pulling up on the battlefield then cut to credits like S2E9 where Rimuru did the “Let’s begin” then credits.

One thing I remembered while watching this with you guys about the Dryads. If I remember correctly, since Ramiris is the Queen of Spirits, she is actually their queen. Prior to Rimuru finding her, the Dryads were unaware of the location of the queen as she had been "lost" for quite some time. Due to this, the Dryads would have significant adoration for her as well as wanting to assist/cater to her in any way possible.

They seem to have recorded all three of the weekly shows (MHA, Slime, and Revengers) together, judging by their shirts. My guess is that something happened last week that stopped them from recording, so they had to play catch-up over the weekend when they would normally watch Fate. Castlevania probably got delayed for similar reasons.

So, they explain the “interrogation” scene better in the novels. Essentially, with Shion’s new cooking skill, she can apply it in creative ways. One such way is reorganizing your body into un-body like shapes as you live and breathe and experience all the pain. Also “ball water” is classic. Thank you the laughs!
