I think the way Ratt has set it up has made a death and a fire EQUALLY plausible. Even in the other pages with our duo, there was a red/orange flaking in the air. While that could very well just be a style choice, I'm a little less willing to assume that because *now* the flakes are grey/white- a lot like ash. But at the same time, what could have caused it? Do any of the deer even know HOW to start a fire? Perhaps something from the gods? It's certainly VERY interesting, and I am so looking forward to the next page to see if we get a look into what happened! I hope the old raggedy doe isn't dead, but I won't be surprised if she is ): I mean, she was even making mention of how she's tired herself, she doesn't WANT to still be kicking from what I picked up on- but maybe I misread it. So either Antaras smells the unforgettable smell of death- or he smells smoke. I'm not sure what else it could be.
