Basic sketch and colour stage. Colours aren't really necessary I just like adding them

Cleaning lines. Avoid clusters of pixels in the same line (jaggies)

Shading - for light source I like to draw a tiny sun in the corner. I like to make back limbs all shaded. Lighter shading is good for adding definition to features that would be cluttered with harder shadow e.g face, fluff

Line colours, adding extra details. This is just how I do it so it's by no means standard- I leave the outer lines dark and the inner lines a lil bit brighter. Things like eyes and noses stay dark. Other things like objects keep dark outlines too

On the topic of lines-  again this how I draw so it's purely subjective but imo line colour consistency is important and so is a limited palette- reuse as many of the same colour as possible. Got a pink that looks a lil too close to another pink? Replace one colour with the other so there's only one pink. Same thing with line colours. There's no need to change outer line colours except for light source.

Palettes- I know I just said limited but really the only limit is how many colours you want there to be. I like repeating colours because I think it looks cleaner and easier to read. There are of course many many many different ways to draw and how I draw might not be what works for you and your art so uhh take this advice with a tasty grain of salt

Final details- I forgot the tail
