Hi everyone, here is this month's mini set. The original single image (inluded in the zip) was created by Steven Carson but miro and the team have greatly expanded on it to include a variety of poses as well as added in a guest star ;)

Hope you like it.

Cerene and Lanessa are solid as always. For a shopping spree I would have expected some variety in clothing or something. Who comes up with these names? Just in case no one is counting this is the 7th post in a row with 'collaborations' or AI art, so congrats on that... I thought you said you had a production level animation ready for the end of March, middle of April. Any news on that, coz it's the middle of April already.

It's a nice change seeing characters in a more modern setting like Love Thy Neighbour. One thing I could add is that it would have been nice to see some compression of the thigh high socks on Cerenes thigh. It seems to perfect to stay in place that suggests it's tight but skin compression not present. If there's going to be more of this, definitely something to consider including.

In the past 2 months (14 Feb to 14 Apr) the A3D store has had 16 sales events. That's basically 2 sales events every week. This is NOT NORMAL for A3D. The previous 16 sales on A3D happened between 21 Aug 2021 and 23 Dec 2022. 16 sales in 16 months (averaging 1 per month) has been transformed recently into 16 sales in 2 months (now averaging 8 per month!). If this is the New Normal for A3D ... it suggests that the 3DX world has "caught on" about miro and A3D (and presumably, this patreon) such that the only one who can legitimately claim responsibility for miro's current reputation is ... miro. I warned miro back in November that unless there was a course correction by miro that he was doomed to becoming a Pirate King™ in which fewer and fewer people would be willing to pay for what he is selling (here on this patreon and on A3D more broadly) while conversely becoming far more willing to acquire whatever scraps get thrown out through pirate outlets that make content available for free (and we all know who they are). https://www.patreon.com/posts/blood-crown-75315791 It's been 4.5 months since that "mea culpa, but not really" by miro post at the end of November. Has ANYONE had their confidence in miro (and friends) increased during the span of time since then? ANYONE?

Steven Carson does good work. I just wish that miro could still do good work too ... ;_;

I don't quite know how anyone doesn't get it by now, he doesn't directly work on much if anything posted, he's been in a more director role for getting on 4 years, he has in this time done SOME personal work into what is posted though I doubt you'll see anything ever made just by him alone ever again. It's just a natural progression of things once getting bigger with staff comes into play. while I don't know what he truly does anymore as I've stopped over a year back caring to know why he sometimes takes so ungodly long to reply when I'd imagine he isn't jam packed like I can be with irl work overseeing 137 staff... yet still :D

TheGreatCornholio

Yeah I got it. He doesn't work on it, but as a 'director' he's still responsible for what work gets done, so let me rephrase :D. It's been 7 strait posts of Miro's TEAM only showing collabs with people outside the team (with their DIFFERENT styles showing) or AI art. It's also been 4.5 years since the last big movie, 2 years since they told us for almost one year "estimated release date on Christmas", 1 year since they stopped their big sets they were claiming was the main purpose of this patreon so people would stop complaining about the movies, and almost half an year since we were told they were seemingly re-working a lot what they have done so far, but here, have a nice video of a castle's exterior... It's a natural progression indeed. Another progression would be movies getting better, or faster, or both. What we got is movies not existing.

TheGreatCornholio

Does anyone who's followed Miro for years have any confidence after the year of "estimated release date Christmas"? That was almost 1.5 years ago.

Being a more director is normal for scale over time... never said anything about him being all that good at it (from what I can tell/see), there is zero excuse all this time has passed, I still speak my mind even know I'm hired at A3D to some extent (not in areas I'm supposed to be yet still >_>) Not all is bad there for say, however content planning and actually doing said stuff yeah idk half the time how it's so unreasonably slow for what I'm doing atm (can't say what it is) I COULD get it all done within maybe a week, 2 at a push provided I knew boss man would actually respond within a day CONSISTENTLY. he doesn't at least to me so I don't put this stuff on my priority "lists" I can only say so much however I'd be hard pressed to buy that others don't get the same frustrations I do with waiting.

Remember when Marie used to do audio updates? Last one was almost 3 years ago! https://www.patreon.com/affect3d_miro/posts?filters[tag]=audio You can only say "There's nothing new to report this time..." so many times in a row before it becomes difficult to deny the (already) obvious.

Kyla

Can be for several reasons why sales are going up and are frequent, one can be yeah it's his income isn't going well sure.. yet also can be the total opposite and he's wanted to pool more funds to send elsewhere on his company, though please give this sort of thing a rest, complaining over content yeah that's fine poking at income or the state of the company is kinda cringe.

IBT

Kyla, that drain swirling sucking sound we can all hear now is not a coincidence ... it's the culmination of a lot of choices that miro has made (and not made) over the past decade. Continuing to pretend that everything is fine, all is well and everything is still on track isn't exactly an option anymore. The evidence of shattered dreams and ruined promises lie all around us, with remarkably little to show for it. The writing is on the wall. The only question left to answer is ... who among us can read it and understand what it means?

Kyla

I employ over 100 people irl.... I'm more than aware how things can look and do at any given time, you think he's going to be taking a while to respond to anyone making content for him if he's really needing money, no... I'm not a defender of miro he's his own person he does plenty of things I highly disagree with and have stated so many times here of all places and in DM's.. I am one person he is another he'll run things how he wants at the end of the day.... yet assuming he's doing sooo poorly all a sudden just due to sales... yeah ok.

Miro hasn't really changed much since like 2013 other than becoming more successful. He's always been really bad at estimating when he'll finish projects. You could always multiply his estimates by like 3-5x to get something remotely close to accurate. And it's always been pretty obvious that he doesn't actually work on the projects most the time that projects are delayed, more like gets burned out and messes around with other stuff before inevitably funds start running low and he buckles down and pumps something out - the biggest issue is A3D itself supplying passive income prevents that necessity. There used to be an Affect3D forum but that was closed down because it ended up being filled with messages worse than the patreon lately, constantly. And that was back before the G4E DLC and immediately thereafter. It also suffered missed deadlines, missed promises, delays, half apologies, etc. But that's just how it is. I understand that for some people that revelation can come as quite a shock. But I personally know all of that and simply accept that about him and still support him because he's one of my favorite artists. Though that being said, I initially signed up to the Patreon for Bloodlust updates. Since that was explicitly removed I'll probably not be renewing when my yearly sub comes back up. But we'll see.

Kyla

Yep, nearly all that you said here is pretty damn close to being the case (from what I'm aware of at least)..... one thing I will never understand is the lack of basic communication when things are clearly starting to go poorly, always lets it cook...... and burn for unknown reasons to me. The forum closing was in large part if not fully due to him getting blasted nearly all day and honestly it was fairly dead minus the main page for his stuff.

nope

I'm not a huge fan of SC, but he at least does work. At this point I'm near believing Miro's next of kin are following an eccentric will to poorly pretend he's alive in the most fan antagonistic way possible.
