Hey everyone, the dropbox archive has been updated for the month. FYI, we decided to unpin the top post, but added the posts to the top links so you can still find them easily.

Just a reminder, if you’re ever having trouble accessing the archive, try using an alternative browser first and ensure you copy/paste the password directly from the post. We’ve had to update the link and password a few times due to the links expiring prematurely, so bookmarked links or passwords sent out in the initial Patreon notification will no longer work.

Blender -- In the past couple of months we’ve talked with a number of Blender artists who are interested in working with us, so as of late last week we’ve begun testing a new, short animation team and workflow. One of our admin staff has taken on a coordination role to ensure the team can work independently when miro is busy elsewhere. Since our characters and environments are still being ported, the Blender team will use existing character models (like the Tifa and Claire ones you’ve already seen) to start with. This will allow us to iron out the kinks in the process while we wait for our characters to become available.

Ultimately we’d like to use this new team to create both image sets and animations so we can phase out Daz Studio. Our current Daz team is quite small, and Daz render times are even worse than Maya, so there’s nothing to lose in shifting future image sets to Blender.

CyPunk 1000 Patrons Vaginal Sex Animation -- Miro will be catching up on this animation this week. We’re hoping to send it to render by the end of week or early next week.

The Seed of Rebirth Animation -- The second draft of the piledriver base loop is getting closer to what we’re looking for, but it’s still a bit too raw for us to feel comfortable showing off. When we get closer to the final movement, we’ll release a compiled video with some of the early playblasts so you can see the evolution of the animation.

Fan Service Image Set -- We’ll be posting the final preview with Sayako’s new hair in the next day or so. Also, with the recent Blender developments, we’ve decided this image set will be the first to be produced entirely in Blender, that is, both still images and animations for this set will be done in Blender. We have a second rigger working on the port of the Fan Service assets now.

That's great! I'm sure once you get proficient in Blender, you'll wonder how you ever got along w/o it.

The absolute peak of your animations (in my opinion) has been the walking scene that was teased in the upcoming movie, with both girls approaching the camera flaccid. Is it possibly to get that level of detail in blender? Also, side note, I'm pretty sure every animation so far has been a sex scene, not that that's a bad thing, but will we be seeing any "casual" scenes in the future? Things like Sayako getting dressed, working out, doing yoga, yadayada.

I wholeheartedly support the transition to blender. Having the same software for both images and video seems like a major boost and so many other artists are doing amazing work in blender. That being said, I'm sad to see so little new content lately. For the whole of June we've just had test stuff of mainly already released content.

Hell yeah! I’m jonesin’ for some Sayako content.

If there was a month where pausing the Patreon charges would be appropriate, I think June definitely fit the bill. We really didn't see much other than test runs of RenPY using existing content and text updates. One very rudimentary (compared to the standard we usually see) test on blender using models from other artists. Cyberpunk still hasn't been sent for rendering and no update on Flying HIgh this week either. If there's nothing new to release, please consider pausing the charges for the month. Or give some more serious consideration to a discount on Blood Crown for patrons.

Lol, Miro will NEVER pause the patreon. With the locked in "founders" tier, it's a constant $3000-5000 a month regardless of how little content is churned out. Loss aversion is a perfect tactic to keep fleecing fans.

Regardless, ball is in his court when there's a month like that. Deliver the content on the tin, or you can pause the Patreon if you can't. The option is available.

The big problem is that there is no counter point to these contentless weeks/months. Affect3D is a patreon where I'm scared every time they announce something new. Usually for any other creator it would mean new stuff. For them it mostly means everything else is delayed. Look at the state we're in now. 1000 patreons videos seem lost to time. Progress on Bloodlust is slow as hell. The first part of Flying High came out in January, half an year ago.
