Hey all, Marie here again with another text update.

The Seed of Rebirth pt. 5 - Done. Literally going up right after I post this.

The Seed of Rebirth pt. 6 - miro is progressing on the first half of part 6.

Circle of Love 1000 Patrons Oral Sex Animation Winner - Working on some clipping issues with Sophia’s hair and Cerene’s leg. Still waiting on throat bulge from another animator (had some issues with files, workaround has been applied)

CyPunk 1000 Patrons Vaginal Sex Animation Winner - Reviewed latest version and sent back for several changes before we can go to detailing. Some of the changes included fixing the position of Sophia’s knees and Cerene’s heels, stabilizing several frames where characters are too wobbly, smoothing out the movement of Cerene’s hips, and improving Cerene’s expression.

Circle of Love 1000 Patrons Double Penetration Animation Winner - Still awaiting draft from animator on this one.

Sophia Daz Port - NTR, awaiting QA approval.

AS09 - Japanese Image Set - NTR, script needs to be finalized, project on standby.

AS10 - Super Heroes Image Set - Commenced detail posing on part 1.

AS11 - Star Image Set - NTR, current version of lookdev files need review.

AS12 - G4E Image Set - NTR, still queued for lookdev.

AS13 - Princess Image Set - NTR, Lookdev still in review.

AS14 - Gaming Image Set - NTR, Lookdev still in progress.

Rip him having to make it himself, seems you need extra posing artists. though that seems like it's going to happen after this one ( I think). anyhow ty for info.

I don't know if anyone has said this: I really appreciate the weekly updates. It's cool to see that there are sooo many sets in the pipeline!

Mild disappointment that there have been setbacks, but knowing that there HAVE been setbacks makes any delays before release a lot more understandable. Thanks for the update, Marie.

Yeah, the image set team is still being fleshed out. We'll be trying out some new posing artists in the next few sets. Every artist has different availability, personal tastes (not everyone wants to do double futa, for example), and some have different strengths (some are really great with expressions, others with key posing, detailing etc). With TSOR we also went off script starting in part 3 because the original poses we had scripted felt a bit boring, and also more time was needed between each pose for it to feel right. As we find and integrate more artists into the workflow it should get easier to swap in a different artist if someone has an IRL obligation, gets sick, etc. -Marie

Glad you like them =) With Christmas coming up I should warn you all that a lot of artists start taking their holidays in December and things slow down until mid January. Some artists work all the way through, though, so we'll still have some updates in different areas over the next month and a half. Won't know exactly where those updates will be just yet though. -Marie

Yeah, I hope one thing people will discover with these weekly updates is how many tiny tweaks must be made to an animation to get the final product you all are accustomed to seeing. There might be 30, 40, or more versions of an animation before everything looks just right. With the first half I can usually spot a lot of the problems myself, but as it gets closer to completion you need a very well trained eye to spot the issues miro and the animators see. Conversations between them will start as text, but in late stages it's often them trading screenshots with circles drawn on the frame to make it clear what needs fixing. That said, we're always interested in improving our workflow and turnaround, so hopefully as things improve they'll be visible in the updates. Thanks =) -Marie

Thank you for the info. It feels to me that you are spread way too thin. Hopefully a lot more work went into the Bloodlust movie (but I wouldn't hold my breath). You really should hurry up with the Bloodlust progress posts. Right now, at a first glance, it looks like nothing much was done. There was a 10 day delay between the last posts with actual content. For me that is a little too much. With December coming are we to expect even bigger gaps? Is there any chance you could give rough previews of the other sets that are still ongoing? I (somewhat) understand the secrecy around Bloodlust, but sets are in a different category imo.

IBT

I figured that December-January would impact artist availability (because... lives...). Better to explain that in advance so as to set expectations accordingly, than to say nothing at all and cede the possibilities to conspiracy theorizing due to a lack of available evidence to the contrary.

Ah, so there's more of a QA process going on behind the scenes than it might have at first appeared. When you see the delicious cooked sausage, it's hard to imagine ALL of the steps that went into the making of it. And as someone who has done more than my share of starting conversations with text before moving on to screenshots with highlights pointed out, it's gratifying to know that I'm not the only one using those tools for communications. Thank you, Marie.

Hi, I am not familiar with all those shortcuts. What is the meaning of NTR. Sorry I am not a native speaker, so i would suggest to reduce the use of those shortcut to a minimum. Thx in advance Osi

Parts 1 2 and 3 of Seed were all released within 10 days of each other consecutively. Part 4 took 20 days after 3, and then 5 took 40 after 4. It sounds like 6 hasn't even been started yet so we're probably not seeing that until 2021. Not really sure what happened with this assessment from back in August. https://www.patreon.com/posts/patreon-wip-1-40916864 "We’re close to starting the release of this image set. Part 2, 3, and 4 are making good progress, but part 1 is lagging behind. We need part 1 to kick the whole thing off, so just need to wait a little longer. The reason part 2, 3 and 4 are ahead of part 1 in this case is due to different artists in the image set team working at different paces." I'm a little tired of playing the guessing game as to what's causing the abormalities compared to last year, but as of the last few posts in the context of the above, it seems like last minute QA is the biggest hurdle on every front. When you've got parts that supposedly were making great progress months ago taking longer to release. it sounds like most of that progress actually had a ton of flaws in QA and review that had to be overhauled before actually being released. Which then causes new parts like part 5 that weren't started yet in August to get delayed because most of the time is spent on QA for the previous parts before moving forward. By comparison, Lady of the Tower (2019) was greased fucking lightning. LOTT Premiered November 26th and was wrapped on Christmas Eve 2019. That's an entire full-length image set in less than a month. ^^^ That's the pace we're sorely missing right now.

If you aren't doing multiple iterative QA steps along the way, but only leaving QA for the final end result (take it or leave it), you can wind up with a situation where something that could (and should!) have been caught sooner in production makes it all the way to final before being rejected ... and then needing to be replaced (or worse, start over). This is why I maintain that QA shouldn't be used as a final (rubber) stamp of approval at the end, but ought to be reviewing multiple times during production to catch problems earlier in the workflows when it's easier/cheaper to make corrections and fix problems than at the very end when it's often times (literally) "too late" to change anything without delaying a release. The flipside to that is when, like Marie said previously, the entire posing for SoR beyond part 3 had to be revised because the poses were kind of boring. Sometimes you'll have that sort of change in direction and it can junk whatever schedule you'd been on before because you have to "start over" earlier in the workflow to replace what you can tell won't work out right. Point being, that production of 3DX ... much like production of stage play ... doesn't always go accordingly perfect to plan. Stuff happens while production is in process, and changes can happen at any time (although it's better for them to happen sooner rather than later, all things considered).

People come for the feature length animations, not a million still image sets.

Kyla

Without knowing exactly myself, I can tell you with a reasonable amount of certainty people hired/involved originally for the Patreon sets didn't work out for one reason or another, where it be their lack of interest in what was being made, spare time not lining up. OR just they didn't end up being what Miro wanted for posing, as it seems he's making and or doing a bunch of the leg work atm on images it not a stretch to think a load of the people at the start bailed or were let go.
