Caroline is 100% my favorite character of this series. It was difficult to explain why back in Season 1 when she was an "insecure control freak" without giving away spoiler, but now it's clear why she's my favorite. I mean, I adore Bonnie, Jeremy, Klaus (for some weird reason), Damon, and Alaric (R.I.P.), but Caroline is amazing. The way the actor portrayed her from the beginning through now has allowed us to truly see her gradual growth and character arc in such a way that it doesn't seem abrupt or out of character. The Hunter arc is interesting, as it's giving us some fresh lore, or at least hinting at lore we perhaps will learn eventually. Whatever it is has Klaus intrigued, so we know it must be something crucial, though we've no idea if it's good or bad. Is it wrong that I would love to play Pathfinder or D&D with Klaus? I feel he would make some truly interesting characters. He'd probably start with an Antipaladin, lol.
