Another great reaction.. A portion of the plot aboout a crime in an apartment played homage to a Hitchcock movie "Rear Window " starring Jimmy Stewart. I too cheered when Finch actually struck the stalker in the eyes. I love that Finch didn't blackmail a doctor but motivated one with the offer of improving his and his family lives. I also love Finch is angrier at Carter than Reese is. It shows, along with the cushion, how much he cares for Reese (and how well Reese knows it wasn't personal .) Trask was an interesting and fun number, though he probably shouldn't be so talkative about his old life.

I love this one. The case itself is pretty standard fare... but there's so much to enjoy with all the Rear Window nods, the flashbacks, and Carter being included. And Finch & Reese's delightful role reversal is such a great step in their partnership. As a Hitchcock fan, I love the Rear Window-ness of it all. The whole framework is a love letter to Rear Window. So many nuances... including: Rear Window was written by John Michael Hayes... and Reese's alias here is John Hayes.
