We went out and explored… again! But this time, very far away from Vancouver! 😆

We went to Anime Expo in Los Angeles, USA! 🇺🇸✨

This is likely our 4th or 5th time attending, but to be honest, every year is so busy, so we really don’t know much about LA and have never had the chance to explore. This year we decided to take it really easy since we’re still getting used to being out and around, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! 🥹

We stayed with our close friend and had so much fun together with her! 🥹💕 We had tea parties each night in our hotel and wrapped up the day with lots of yummy snacks! Come to think of it, it probably wasn’t a good idea to be having green tea so late at night, but I guess we were so zonked from the con that it wasn’t a problem!

Throughout the weekend, we basically drifted around the con, doing what ever caught our eyes or whatever we felt like at the moment! 😆 We never really even left the main hall area…

We saw so much amazing art in the Artist Alley, and we even bumped into a super cute Saya cosplayer who showed us to a booth selling Saya stickers, as well as other Nitroplus and Touhou artwork! She was so cute… ✨ We want her to continue to love visual novels lots!! 🙌🏻

We saw lots of other cute cosplayers who we got photos of! 🙏🏻 We really enjoyed running around and getting quick snaps of them.

We also went to a super cute cafe with some friends! We all shared cute drinks and dessert together! 🥹 Ally’s Lavender Milk Tea was our favorite because it tasted so fresh and natural! It even had bits of dried lavender blossoms in it! 🌷

In the Exhibitor’s Hall, we had lots of fun window shopping and looking at cute merch and anime cels! 😆 We were especially impressed with the kinds of figures they’re coming out with now… We’re super tempted by the HELLO! GOOD SMILE series because they remind us of soft vinyl figures, and we’re huge softies when it comes to soft vinyls. 🥺💕 Also the size of regular figures nowadays are crazy!! They’re huge and so high quality and it makes us want to take them home… Here were some of our favorites! ✨

This time, we finally went to CoCoIchi for our favorite curry! 🍛 It was so good and tasted just like how it is in Japan, but the portions were HUGE! We even got the 200g of rice (discount if you want less rice!) but the amount of curry they give you is still so much, we couldn’t finish it even if it was our only meal of the day! 😆 We also had to try their jumbo Thai tea which they don’t have in Japan, and it was absolutely ginormous! We also opened up some 1998 Comiket exclusive Rance cards we got as a gift (thank you)! 🎁✨ Super special!!

We finally made sure to check out Little Tokyo properly this time! 🗼 We had been before, but only very briefly! We really liked the atmosphere and feeling there, and the vendor selling imagawayaki and sanshoku dango was so yummy! They were both so fresh and soft! 🤤 Lots of retro games too!

Finally, we also were able to (somehow) get a ticket for kson’s Meet & Greet! 😵 We talked about it lots in our Twitter Space, but we feel really lucky to have been able to meet her! We told her congrats about winning the Yakuza Cabaret Girl audition, and that it made us really happy to see her dream come true! ✨ We’ll continue to work hard for our dreams too! 💪🏻

We also went to Asayoru Maid Cafe, a permanent maid cafe in LA, and went all out on getting the Deluxe Menu Set for both of us with a food item, drink, dessert, and cheki! 💕 We also ordered two dance performances because why would we not? 😆✨ Our maids Sakurin and Ai were super cute and friendly, so even if you’re a bit shy, we really recommend going! It was a wonderful experience! 👍🏻

We also noticed that Sega had a super cute photo booth to advertise the new Yakuza game coming out! They had famous cosplayers for a different character each day, and when we went by it just happened to be Kiryu there, as well as almost no line!! ✨ Of course we took the chance to pose altogether! We’ll make our dreams come true even if we have to use our fists! 👊🏻

We had to voice our unhappiness with a certain character too… Again, with our fists!! Take that!! Leave all the cute girls alone! 😠✨

We also managed to go to one panel the whole weekend, which was the Sekai Project panel! We’re looking forward to Nie no Hakoniwa! 🙏🏻

We’re really happy to have been able to go to AX and are thankful to all the friends we were able to bump into! 💕 It meant soooo much to us! Like every year, we’re not sure if we’ll be able to go to AX again next year, but we feel so much more energized and excited from all the passion and energy we felt over the weekend! 🔥 The year is almost half over (yikes), but we’re really excited for everything to come!! Let’s do our best, okay!!! ✨✨✨

Sounds like you had a blast! Which expo did you went to earlier this year again? Is this one even bigger than that? I miss big conventions like these. It's been a while since I've been to one, although that's good for my wallet lol. Surely you, too, submit to the darkness and got yourself a few small goods, no? There's no way you go into a huge convention and walk out without spending a single dime lol So you've personally met the goofiest Korean streamer eh. You three seems like you'd get along well lol. And there're Coco Ichibanya in the USA too? They might not make the best curry in the market, but nonetheless still a really decent one. In fact I also frequented the chain myself when I don't know what to eat. Also that's a huge Thai tea lol. Those tea usually have lots of sugar in them so you better be careful! 😁

We went to Sakuracon earlier in the year! It's pretty big too, but not as big as AX! It's the biggest in all of North America! 🔥 We only got a few things this year! A couple of shirts, two games, and a mousepad! 😆 Just a little spending! Don't worry, we probably think about what and how much we consume more than 90% of girls out there! 👍🏻 Before AX, the last time we had any processed sugar was in September... Gotta work hard!
