Hi everyone! I've recently reached out to an awesome artist who focuses on character sprites. After some chatting together in the last few days, I'm glad to say that over the upcoming months. Messy Academy will begin transitioning from 3d into 2d! This will start out slowly with character sprites being the first to become 2d art. These 2d sprites will be added into the game once finished, so it might look a little weird for a while.. But I hope everyone is excited with this news.

CG scenes will have to be handled as 3d still for the time being, but I'm currently looking for someone to join the team for that. So we can get the process started for CG/BG scenes going to match the sprite artwork! If you enjoy the 3d model look for the game.. Worry not, because it's possible that I can make two versions of the game builds. One that focuses on the 2d changes and one that's for those who like the 3d feel instead. But it'll be based on demand and 3d versions might be slightly delayed, as 2d would be the priority.

Each week I'll be posting a character sprite preview, leading up to their release into the game! So I hope you look forward to it and enjoy the first rough sketch preview of Miki!
