You know what? This is the second-to-last chamber of Brazenthrone and I'm just going to give everyone the patron content for the rest of it. You can download it from the bottom of this post or from Google Drive.

There's not too much to say about Freeholders' Hall. It's where the mushroom farmers live. There's a high clan that lives there, too. And there's a statue of a naked man. You can read about it in the DM notes if you're interested.

Yesterday, I wrote about how I found a way to include dynamic lighting with my maps for Roll20 users and I made commands to generate the walls for you with this map as well. They're in there with the VTT files and there's a file explaining how to do it.

For those of you running games on Foundry, Fantasy Grounds and other platforms, I need you to know this: I know you are out there, I appreciate your support and I am going to do everything I can to make this happen for you too.

So far, what I've learned is this: there was a script called SVG Loader that could import wall lines in Foundry, although it may no longer be compatible with recent updates. I'm going to try it out anyway and see if it works. If I can get it to work for me, I should be able to load up a map, import the walls and export the whole thing as a module file. If I can't, maybe I can get an older version of Foundry that the script was compatible with? Who knows, I'm just spitballing, but I'll get to work trying things out tomorrow. I can't promise you I'll be able to do this for every platform soon, but I can promise you that I'll try.

The next map will be last month's Cartographic Congress winner, a dwarven mining and smelting outpost built into a cliffside. After that, we're knocking out the last part of Brazenthrone: the Old Palace. It's a ruined palace adjacent to the Old Quarter and I think it'll be pretty cool. I wanted to save it for last so hopefully the dwarven city of Brazenthrone finishes on a bang.

Your work on brazenthrone is absolutely amazing! I'm an incredible big fan of dwarves and this is THE perfect setting for my ancient (and lost) dwarven stronghold. In a way I'm sad to see you finish the project soon, though it's completely understandable! 1 question did arise though, there are already some nice brazen throne assets out there. However it would be lovely if there we're more so we could still expand it beyond the massive things already created. I'd also happily share them with the community if you'd like.

You're talking about the asset pack with the furniture and barrels and stuff? I'd be willing to add to that, sure. What kinds of things are you looking for specifically?

John Doe

Well, that's quite hard to explain actually. I'd love add entirely new rooms / area's. I'd be doing this in dungeondraft and to me the walls are pretty hard to copy. Things that also add to your drawings are the symbols / pictures inside some buildings (like the gold first in the throne hall). Also I'm nowhere near as talented as you are. I need software to make things look good. First thing I'd make is a giant drill room that the dwarves used to get very very deep. (To get a special rare metal.). Second thing is a deep forge. Getting the metal hot enough to smelt requires to many resources and it's only hot enough in the deep forge. (using geothermal energy).

I think I get the idea. You want walls, floors, stuff to make new chambers and not just modify existing ones. While I don't know how to make assets for Dungeondraft specifically, I can make you some asset walls, floors and doors that should allow you to patch a new chamber together. I'm thinking of something like this: a couple of empty chambers that have nothing but stone floors (the "outdoor" floors of Brazenthrone). Then some strips of walls, different lengths, some with doors. Then some "indoor" floors. Then I could cut out a few more images for you, like the Freehammer Forge (from the Anvil Quarter), the drilling machine (from Gnomestown) and maybe a chasm or two, which you can add in. I think that should let you make what you want and quite a bit more. I don't have time to make a formal package of this stuff, but I can make you a bunch of images that should make things a lot easier for you. If there's anything else specifically that you'd want me to include, let me know! I'll put this stuff together once I'm done with the map I'm working on now.

If you make the images, I'll figure out how to make a assets pack for dungeon draft! Other things I'm thinking about would be - Fountains - benches, tables, chairs - A wooden crane? - A rope pulley - Watermill - ... I have been thinking of possibly recreating the Brazenthrone entirely. Though that seems like an ardous task. The main reason for this is because there are already a lot of existing assets out there. And The list of things you could make would be endless in a way. Thus not being able to end this project as you'd want.

No problem, I can get you those things. I think I have benches, tables and chairs in the asset pack, but I'll make sure.
