This is just a heads up that a new video has just been put up explaining the whole torrent situation. I SURE DO HOPE NO SEEDERS SHOW UP TO HELP OUT THOSE WHO DECIDE TO DOWNLOAD THE TORRENT

HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT!!! I'm ecstatic right now!!! I've missed this series so much!!! Also, super neat to see my own name on that list of patrons!

Horror of horrors! That would make torrenting this exponentially easier! What a travesty that would be!

J. MacGillivray

Glad to hear you're doing better and looking forward to your future videos. But to think that someone decided to torrent your videos, what a shame. Thank you for letting us know where it is so we can naturally avoid it. Anyway, Happy Holidays to you!

I'm having trouble with getting the files to work. Anyone more familiar with Torrents able to give some advice?

My understanding is that the nefarious ne'er-do-wells who would torrent such a thing as this would first download and install a program such as qBittorrent (utorrent used to be excellent, but they were acquired by the company that owns NordVPN and now operate as a bit of a scam). Once such a villain has done this, they would run the program, and then do something like drag-and-drop the torrent file into the program and tell it to start its thing, at which point it will begin. As downloading the whole thing takes some time, the program essentially saves what bits it's downloaded so far and starts from where you left off when you run the program again if you need to turn your computer off for a while.

Problem, it says it is like hundreds of gigabytes. How do I not eat my entire computer memory?

I feel like whoever did this thought it would be too risky to have hundreds of torrents, so it's tricky. Maybe more options will open up in future

1) The options for storage of large files are basically to buy or find a memory card or USB stick, memory is *relatively* cheap nowadays, especially if you're willing and able to split up the file into smaller pieces (which would allow you to use older/smaller memory storage things). 2) The nefarious leaker presumably does not want the file-release tied to them. While a google drive account is free, as is a basic Dropbox account, in order to store the full file one would need a paid account, which could very easily cause them problems. A similar problem applies to third parties who might be otherwise in possession of such accounts - especially if one uses a VPN, the worst that will happen with using a Torrent is that your ISP might send one a letter asking you to please stop downloading or uploading the thing (this will not be a problem, at least in the USA, as long as you don't do it again/often, usually). Once one has a paid account with a cloud service, there's more things one might be concerned about, at least as far as I know in my locale.
