Pfffft! Perfect ending ^^

Well this was a lot of fun. :-) I'm still in the early game too, but is everyone else getting as many Mystery Dungeon vibes as I am? Just in the whole "you are a modern day kid who is thrust into a mysterious and different Pokemon world, is immediately recruited into a team that takes requests and goes on missions from a home base, and also you keep receiving messages from a powerful Pokemon in your mind" set up. The second MD game even has you wake up on a beach, no less! And for those not aware, yes, Mystery Dungeon NPCs are just as nonchalant about you being an interdimensional refugee who's actually a human in Pokemon form as the Legends Arceus NPCs are about you being a time traveller from the future who's on a mission from God.

THE HOLY ARCEUS PHONE OF HISUI And the Holy Arceus raised the smartphone up on high, saying, 'I Arceus your Pokemon Gpd, bless this, thy smartphone, that with it thou mayst locate thine Pokemon to know them, in thy quest.' And Arceus did grin. And the people of Hisui did search far and wide upon the lands, and seas, and skies, and pasts, and futures, and Alpha Pokemon, and Noble Pokemon, and even the minor gods themselves. And Arceus spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Poke Ball. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Poke Ball of Catching towards thy foe, who, being My creation in My sight, shall be captured, and become known to me via thy smartphone that I, Arceus your God, have so blessed.'

Oooh I know why there's no chimney. Basically, using chimneys, before the invention of relatively modern flue tech, basically meant that the majority of the heat from the fire would escape through the chimney, and you could have a draft if the fire was not burning (or not burning hot/hard enough to keep the hot column of air rising). So you only had chimneys in warm/hot climates (where you *wanted* the heat from the cook fire to not roast everyone inside the building), or if you were quite wealthy, and could afford all the extra fuel to keep a huge fire going and/or really thick and well-insulated walls. So instead what you did was have a firepit or fire-mat (literally a woven reed mat with the fire built on top of it) in the middle of your room, and the smoke would escape through the roof, the join between the roof and the walls, or though the gaps between your shutters and your window-frames. This *did* mean that you could have smoke problems if you had insufficient ventilation by those means, but there were decent rules of thumb to make that work. You also had smoke blackening on your upper walls and roof, but that was just normal.

The whole "your name must have some lovely meaning" thing was hilarious to me because I always call myself Microwave. Lovely meaning indeed.

Beagle boy

the reason no ones seems alarmed you fell out of the sky is its not the first time it happened

Oh my gosh, that's it! My wife played for 6 hours yesterday (sick in bed) and she kept coming back to that. "I fell from the stinking sky, I'm an alien! Why aren't these people freaked! Still, she had a ton of fun. Now I have to tell her she isn't special, just the latest modern Pokemon trainer to experience the sky drop.

There's a little cameo further on from a Pokemon trainer people might recognize

This is wonderfulllll, I am truly loving this game, and I feel relieved to be able to watch your lively reactions to this game after learning of all the horrible things your channel has been put through lately. I hope it's been serving as a bit of calm in this storm for you as well.
