Speaking of rough, HOO boy was it a rough month. Seth continued to suffer from my shingles through his chicken pox, then Leo caught a nasty cold we had to check was covid (it wasn't). It was just all go, all the time, not to mention I began psychotherapy with a new doctor AND this video ran longer than usual. This is a one-journey month, but the three upcoming vids are the product of an idea I'm actually quite proud of, so stay tuned for that.

It’s kinda sad that not many people know what goes into the design for Pokémon. Octillery isn’t a very weird evolution for Remoraid when you think about it.

Considering both that the Gen 2 anime took minimal inspiration from the plot of its games and that said games only added 100 additional Pokemon to plug, you can kind of understand why they'd be really conservative about only introducing so many Pokemon at a time. Still don't understand why they didn't crib more from the games, but yeah.

Trust me, you will find it's all too appropriate. I also say this because it's got frankly one of my least-favorite plot tropes of all time. You'll know it when you see it.

There's another very odd piece of trivia for "All That Glitters". During the flashback scene where Ash recollects how he earned his badges, he claims that the Pidgeot and Scyther were his Pokemon and credits them for his victories.
